On arrival tech confirmed that water heater was leaking underneath the jacket from the tank. Customer was given the option of a similar model power vent water heater, or a tankless on-demand water heater. Customer opted to have similar model installed with a new expansion tank as well as having a pipe repair done in a three-quarter inch T upstream. Tech drained down old water heater, wile wain pipe repair was made . Once tank was drained , copper inlet and outlet lines were cut new tank was put in place with bonding wire and new expansion tank. Water was turned back on and lines were bled of air. no leaks are present at this time and water heater is functioning as it should.
