Technician Mike responded to a call about a leaking hose spigot. Upon arrival Mike could see the existing hose spigot on the front of the house had burst and was spraying water all over the ground. Mike asked Tim where the main water shut off was immediately so he can stop the leak. Tim told Mike it’s in the crawl space. Access to it is through a small door on the backside of the house. Mike then turned the water off at the main. No water leaked into the crawl space. Mike then went inside and looked at the water heater. The unit is a few years old and operates fine. Mike did notice that the water connection on the incoming cold line had signs of past leaking but not currently leaking. Tim also has a water softener that he has had unplugged for about 8 years now. Multiple options were given. Mike then replaced the leaking hose spigot with a New Woodford Model 17 hose spigot. The new spigot was mounted firmly to the exterior brick wall and installation tape was put back around the ho
