I spoke the the landlord and found out that the build dose have to be shut down in order to make the repair I shut off the water and found the main line feeding the unit I cut the line and installed a shut off valve on the main line At this point the leak is stopped for now so the remediation company can come in and do what needs to be done After that all the shut off valves will need to be replaced along with the up stairs shower cartridge or valve I explained we would get them an estimate for all of that work I did have to remove a 4 foot by 5 foot section of drywall to locate the main water line coming in to the unit I cut the main water line and installed a shut off for the unit Tested with no leaks Job complete
