Customer Stated: They had an issue with the toilet flushing slowly, and a smell coming from it as well. Tech Notes: Upon inspection I found that this is a glacier bay elongated toilet located in the upstairs hallway guest bathroom of home. I found that the toilet was flushing as normal, but I did find that the fill valve has failed causing water to not fill completely inside of the tank. While on site, I checked whole home water pressure, and received a reading of 95 psi which is outside of state code regulations. This indicates that the PRV has failed, and is causing secondary damage throughout the fixtures in the home. I was unable to find location of the PRV. I believe it is located behind the drywall in the basement of home. Resolution: I was able to successfully remove the existing failed, fill valve for the upstairs glacier bay, long gated toilet, and replace with brand new fill valve with no issues.
