Toilet Replacement

The workers were both very professional and courteous. We were very satisfied with the work that was done to replace our toilet. We know that the men were exhausted after the work was done but think they could have done a better job cleaning up the bathroom. We left paper towels and cleaning materials on the counter. We didn’t feel that was our job.

Response from My Georgia Plumber:

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re very happy to hear that we met your expectations!

Drain Cleaning: A homeowner noticed that water from their washing machine was backing up into the laundry sink. I investigated and found the drainpipe was clogged with lint and soft buildup. After using a drain snake and flushing with hot water, I confirmed the line was clear and flowing. Preventative advice was shared to avoid future backups.

Tech notes: out today for leak in ceiling. Upon arrival. Ran all bathrooms upstairs to test. Flushed toilets multiple times and splashed overflows and faceplates. Found that the toilet bolts were lose on both toilets and the tank to bowl bolts were also lose on both toilets. Also one of the toilets was running constantly. The tank to bowl bolts were leak steadily. Tightened down toilet bolts and tank to bowl bolts. Adjusted both fill valves and tested. Everything is functioning properly at this time. Customer stated: interested in getting their water heater flushed. Tech notes: My Georgia Plumber went out to perform an Annual Water Heater Flush. Upon arrival we found that the water heater is located in the basement of the home and is a 2024 Rheem 50 gal standard tank. Resolution: we hooked up the hose to the water heater boiler port and flushed the tank for 15 to 20 minutes then unhooked the hose and inspected the water heater to make sure everything was working properly.

We removed the old line and old shutoff valve. We replaced a section of copper pipe where the old valve was with pex and a pex reducing tee. We added a 1/4 turn angle stop for the new icemaker line. We drilled a hole behind the fridge to penetrate into the basement. We then ran a new braided icemaker supply line through the penetration and connected on both ends. We turned the water back on and tested the connection. No leaks. We then returned the fridge to the proper location.

Customer stated: interested in home plumbing inspection and water heater flush Technician notes: My Georgia Plumber went out to perform an Annual Whole Home Plumbing Inspection. We arrived and located the water heater. The Rheem 50 gallon natural gas heater was installed in 2018, is located in the basement, and is in good working condition. The prv and main shutoff valve are also in the basement on the front left side. We flushed the heater and noticed a moderate level of sediment during the process. During the inspection we checked the kitchen fixtures and guest half bath on the first floor. The kitchen fixtures are in good working condition with no leaks. The bathroom fixtures are also in good working condition with no signs of leaks. The second floor has the master bath, a jack & jill, and another guest bathroom. All the fixtures were checked, documented, and are in good working condition. The only issue is with the fill valve in the upstairs guest bath. The customer was advis
