Install new sewer line from the tank to the home Install new risers on the tank Install new filter T November 17th 2022 - Arrived today replace the sewer line from the septic tank to the foundation of the home. I began by making the homeowner aware of the work we would be conducting. When we arrived, the tank lids were already exposed. The lids are about 12” below the surface of the ground. We started by digging at the inlet portion of the tank, and tracing the main sewer line back to the home. The sewer line was about 2’ to 2-1/2’ in the ground, it runs towards the home, and turns slightly right and during this it converts from pvc to cast iron. In this portion, it was visually clear a belly/low point was formed, which caused slow draining and back ups. The line continued then comes back perpendicular to the home and runs close to the gas meter. We trenched up to about a foot away from the gas meter, we exposed the surface of the drain lines.
