After arriving to the home the homeowners sister made me aware that there was a noise coming from the water heater and it won’t she heard the noise she shut the gas off to the unit, after entering the basement I observed an atmospheric vent water heater that has recently been installed in place of a direct vent water heater attempting to utilize the concentric vent for the direct vent water heater in place of the required B vent for the atmospheric vent water heater, being That this is an extreme safety hazard and could lead to gas or exhaust poisoning I am unable to restart the unit without replacement of the water heater with the proper appliance, I also noted that the noise the homeowner is experiencing is coming from the dedicated recirculation pump tied into the water heater they will also require replacement to resolve the issue, there is a pre-existing condition form that is filled out that will be attached to this invoice with picture verification and documentation of the exi
