After arriving to the home, the homeowner made me aware of how their well has developed a sulfur smell within the past week. They’ve noticed it before about a month ago, but it resolved itself. Now it has come back and they can smell it on both the hot side and cold side. They currently have a water system in place, it’s a softener system that has been here since they moved in 20 years ago. I performed a water test after the system to ensure it was still functioning properly, the results are as follows: pH:6 Hardness: 0 GPG Iron: .5ppm> So the softener system is functioning properly. Due to the home being a slab built home, the only solution to resolve the sulfur water with a water system would be to reconfigure the utility closet where the current water system and pressure tank reside. I gave the homeowner options with upfront pricing for water systems and chlorination. At this time, we are not moving forward with any work. I have recommended that the homeowner attempt to chlorinate
