VERY Rare HVAC Service. The Best That We Have Ever Had.

I know that glowing reviews often seem phony or written by the company. Not this time. My wife and I have a nightmare of a story to tell that frankly seems too bad to be true. I am currently attempting to pare our story down to a manageable/readable warning tale. In this short subject story, lets just say that we purchased our new 4 ton AC system during the first week of June, 2020 (not from Bryan Chapman). The seller/installers attempted to install this brand new 18 SEER system on several days during the first week of June, 2020. After realizing that the best that they could do was get the system to turn on, but unfortunately not off, they collected payment in full and hit the road for good. They blocked our phone calls for help and did not even follow through with acquiring the Permit. Honeywell helped up by suggesting that we contact one of their area dealers to assist. So this dealers representative showed up two days (we called him) later. He insisted that this system was royally miss installed and that his charge to repair all of this would be very high unless we agreed to purchase his very special UV light system. Well this guy first broke the Coolant line at the Air Handler, pretty nearly emptying the systems coolant. Unfortunately we did not realize for over a month that he never put any coolant back in. This guy and his company are the biggest bad guys hear. There is much more to this Gypsy like con mans story, but not for here. Let me just say that he charged us $1,400 and never showed up again. The average humidity levels in our home at this time were 65% and higher and the system set at 78 degrees ran on jet engine levels full blast 24/7 and NEVER shut off. Two weeks ago we tried one more very local Valrico are AC professional. This guy charged us $129.00 and said that he could find nothing wrong???? So, yesterday we decided to try one more time and took a chance on a newish Plant City AC business that had numerous customer reviews talking about their honsty and NO constantly pushing to sell something. Something just felt Right. Bryan Chapman called me back telling me up front that he was going to be charging me a bit more, but that he was bringing all of his tools and would get to the bottom of our problems. Well instead of trying to look busy while trying to do what ever without being watched, Bryan asked me to learn what and why he was doing what he did. Very cool. He first inserted one probe (in the Air Handler) into the return air box (where the room air goes back into the system, before being cooled by the coils), then a second probe in the plenum above the cooling coils. He then showed me what he was doing at the condenser unit outside. he had connected his coolant bottle to the intake valves of the condenser. He had his Eye-Pad like device sitting atop the condenser so that he could show me exactly wat was going on as it occurred. Before adding any coolant to my new AC system, Bryan wanted to make certain that i knew that there was indeed a big problem. He sowed me on the pad/software that the difference in temperature from the rooms return air and the after coil cooled are was only 7 degrees! Acceptable is a 16 to 20 degree difference. My system did not have nearly enough coolant to operate beyond a one ton, let alone a 4 ton AC system. We watched that number rise as he slowly introduced coolant. At about 10 degrees difference Bryan asked me to take my temperature gun and see if I could see a noticeable temperature improvement coming from my vents? Temps were already down to the mid 60 degrees from 69-70 degrees before. When done adding 5 pounds of coolant, my vent temperatures were/are consistently in the mid to upper 50's. He also adjusted the blower speeds so that the unit, by comparison, seems to only run on very low yet cools and lowers humidity much better than ever. Now I will be going to collect $350.00 worth of 5 pounds coolant from (decided not to list the bad guys here). After going back and reviewing This Con man's billing paper work, I realized that he was meticulous when recording every minute of labor and service he charged us, but he NEVER mentioned that he broke the coolant line, emptied almost all coolant and NEVER put any back in. Of course he told me that he had, bull shit! Bryan Chapman and First Response Heating and Cooling LLC has put an end to a long and miserable night mare. I only wish that they did roofing and fixed cars.
