Derrick did an awesome job! Called ahead. Was on time. Careful and courteous about how he treated my home, shoe coverings, etc. by the way, this is very consistent with most of my experiences with A TEAM over the last 20+ years. Please keep it up! Thank you.
We have always had excellent service from the 18th and their technicians. Our most recent services of our unit by Heber Have been professional, friendly friendly and assuring that we are getting the best service possible. His years of experience enabled him to answer questions confidently and honestly.
Nice to have the person explains things to you Much appreciated
Heber performed an inspection of my heating system. He knows his job well and he gave me some tips for keeping the condensate pump in good working condition.
The service provided was great and I learned some ways to help maintain my equipment in between service calls.
Great furnace service today from Heber! Took the time to explain system features and maintenance tips. Very pleased.
Chris, the technician, was professional and efficient.
Experienced tradesperson with friendly demeanor. Did a thorough inspection and some preventative maintenance. Professional and friendly. Showed up on schedule and ten minute heads up call before arrival.
Has a great attitude and does very thorough work. Would highly recommend him to my friends and neighbors. Great ex
We have used the A Team for well over 10 years in 2 homes and find there tech’s to be knowledgeable and competent.
Performed an AC tune-up today on a Carrier system, inspecting coils, checking refrigerant levels, and cleaning the condensate drain. The system was operating with low airflow, which we traced to a clogged filter and partially blocked return vent. After resolving the issue, airflow and cooling performance significantly improved.
Performed seasonal AC tune-ups on both Rheem and Trane systems at a residential property. For the Rheem unit, inspected the contactor, checked refrigerant pressures, and cleaned the outdoor coil. The Trane system required a capacitor test, thermostat calibration, and filter replacement. Both units were tested for temperature split and are now running efficiently ahead of peak summer heat.
Replaced a clogged TXV on a heat pump system. I recovered the refrigerant, removed the faulty valve, and brazed in a new OEM TXV. After evacuation and recharge, I tested subcooling and superheat to confirm proper metering and efficiency.
Responded to a no-cool call and found a low-pressure lockout. Checked the system and discovered a refrigerant leak at the Schrader valve. Replaced the valve core, pressure-tested with nitrogen, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system with 5 lbs of R-410A.
Upgraded a customer’s HVAC system with a Guardian air purifier. I mounted the unit in the supply plenum and connected it to the blower interlock. The customer now benefits from reduced airborne bacteria, mold spores, and VOCs.
Installed a Guardian air purifier into a customer's HVAC return. I wired it directly into the system’s 24V transformer and secured the housing to avoid vibration. The unit now treats all circulated air with UV-C light and a catalytic reaction to neutralize VOCs and microbes.
Completed a furnace repair for a family in the Woodstock area. Their York TG9S080B12MP11C furnace wouldn't start. Multimeter testing revealed failed transformer providing only 18V instead of 24V. Installed new transformer (part #S1-02435762000) and confirmed proper voltage across control board.
Our Woodstock customers called about an American Standard S9V2B080U4PSAB furnace experiencing short cycling. Multimeter testing revealed failing circuit board causing erratic temperature readings. Replaced control board with OEM part #BRD2101. Verified proper operation through multiple heating cycles.
Woodstock heat pump system evaluation and repair. Conducted full electrical system diagnostics. Measured compressor amp draw and winding resistance. Replaced worn contactor and capacitor. Cleaned outdoor condensing unit coils. Verified system superheat at 12 degrees Fahrenheit.
I replaced a malfunctioning Honeywell thermostat with a SmartThermostat in a Woodstock, GA home. The job included disconnecting the old thermostat, reconfiguring the wiring, and setting up Wi-Fi connectivity for remote access. The homeowner's HVAC system now runs smoothly with advanced control features.
I completed maintenance on an American Standard Gold 95v variable-speed furnace. The blower motor was inspected and oiled, while the burners were cleaned to remove soot buildup. I tested the igniter and pressure switches for proper operation and replaced the 20x20x1 air filter. The thermostat was recalibrated to ensure even temperature distribution. Post-service, the system operated smoothly and efficiently.
I repaired a Goodman GMVC96 gas furnace experiencing overheating due to a dirty heat exchanger. I dismantled the furnace, carefully cleaned the heat exchanger fins, and cleared debris from the draft inducer. During the inspection, I found the pressure switch tubing partially clogged, which I replaced with a new section. Additionally, the flame sensor was corroded, so I polished it to restore proper conductivity. After reassembly, I calibrated the system and ran multiple heating cycles to confirm everything was in optimal working condition. This repair restored consistent and efficient heating for the homeowner.
I installed a furnace drain pan equipped with a float switch to protect against water damage. The float switch was wired to the system's control board to shut down the furnace if water levels rose. Additionally, I installed an in-line condensate safety switch to provide a secondary layer of overflow protection.
I conducted routine maintenance on a Trane XR95 gas furnace. Tasks included cleaning the blower wheel, vacuuming the combustion chamber, and testing the safety limit switches. I replaced the MERV 8 air filter and verified that the flame sensor and gas valve were functioning properly during system diagnostics.
