Quick to arrive, but no help. Say a/c system needs to be replaced but never received quote. Tech did give me a verbal but no specifics. I’m trying to deal with American home shield warranty, but they didn’t seem to be interested in dealing with that at all. Not their fault but probably could not deal with them ever again because so.
I was quite impressed with the fellow 'Tyler' that diagnosed the equipment failure. He was very thorough and courteously explained the problems and answered my many questions. He also returned following the installation to be certain all was working properly. Hang on to him ...he represents the company very well. I won't comment on the installers other than to say 'like two bulls in a China shop'. The system seems to be working well though, so they apparently did the work properly. So far ....so good!
The fellow named 'Tyler' was top-notch! He was thorough in explaining to me my service needs including answering any and all my many questions ....all while being patient and courteous. After installation of the new system, he returned to inspect and check that the system was both installed and working properly. Thus far I'm quite happy with Bay Area. Thus far I've only received a diagnosis of the broken AC unit. The repair person was courteous and answered all my pertinent questions thoroughly. I have agreed to use their repair services and expect to have a good experience. Four stars only because little to base a full review on.

Installed new defrost board under warranty. System is running in cooling and heating mode. System is running at this time.
Defective float switch,replace with NEW. SYSTEM OPERATING AND FUNCTIOING PROPERLY AT THIS TIME.
Found fuse blown at air handler traced short back to condenser. Found dead lizard behind defrost board. Black Marks behind board. Bypassed board and ran system. Blew fuse at air handler again. Traced short back to condenser and found shorted contactor coil. Bypassed board and Replaced contactor under warranty. System is running in cooling mode only. Ordered new defrost board under warranty.
Checked operation of unit, cleaned unit, unit is running normally at this time.

Pressure washed indoor coil, cleaned blower wheel and housing, cleaned drain pan and drain line and treated with antimicrobial agents, cleaned the air handler cabinet from the inside out, and cleaned the condensing unit. Ran and tested system and all system checks are good. Unit is running and draining fine.
Annual service clean and check system, flush drain. 0 amps on heater, replaced t, replaced bad sequencer. System operates normal.
