Had another AC company do a bad install which created water damage.Original installer could not, would not help. Was going to hire a plumbing company to find this clogged drain, which, they said they heard. Well, BS, they did not hear it..there was No drain line, just a pipe that they shoved under the unit into the dirt. Mike really came thru..I suffered for 3 years with this other company, Im done. Only using Bay Area for now on. They are honest and smart and..they came out the same day. I am so relieved from this ongoing saga messing with the other company... ask me which company NOT to use ...I highly recommend Mike from Bay Area..
Bay Area Air Conditioning is the Best! Within an hour of my call, Patrick was here, explaining our options. Within another hour, Stephen was here to see if it was temporarily fixable to hold us til our install date. It wasn’t, so a temporary central ac unit will be installed tomorrow (a Saturday, at no extra charge!). These folks know how to do business! They’ll work with you on financing, and have a genuine interest in their customers! I give them FIVE STARS!

Installed homeowners thermostat replaced fuse check system found unit void of refrigerant homeowner said he knew that unit Cycles between Heating and Cooling only have 5 KW electric heat
Did not build customer for call. Customer just had a standard question about spare bedroom spoke to customer for a few minutes. Customer will call in the next few weeks to schedule maintenance on system.
System not being told to come on discovered short in thermostat wire from air handler to t-stat. Replaced Y attempted to start, O also shorted. Thermostat took a while to self-calibrate ran in heat and cool System operates normal. collected payment. Return to seal cabinet.

Wet under air stand removed drain to check for cracks, discovered leak from pipe in chase. Ran new drain to outside wall and checked.
Found drain line clogged flush drain line drain pan added conversate tablets and Dawn dish soap unit draining properly at this time

Open capacitor not allowing compressor to run installed new capacitor cycled unit compressor not running cooled off compressor stared then sounded like pressure release in compressor then compressor stopped.unable to get unit to run may need to schedule a temp unit

OD fan blade fell off motor, reattached blade, blade out of balance now, ordered new blade
checked operation of unit, found common terminal to contactor malfunctioning. Unit will need new defrost board. Board is under a 2 year parts Warranty from bayarea.
