Phenomenal service!!! Called Blake and Sons at 10AM, Ryan answered my call while he was on a James Island service call. Told him that it wasn’t an emergency but that I would like an estimate for a replacement HVAC. He said he could be in West Ashley 12-2PM. At 1PM he was inspecting my HVAC and quickly recognized that there was still lots of life in my unit. He performed a maintenance of my unit, made a few igniter adjustments, obtained electrical data, and replaced a leaking capacitor, and verified operation. Ryan’s comprehensive knowledge and friendly customer service was exceptional! THANK YOU for saving me 5-7 thousand dollars with an inexpensive maintenance service visit. He called the next day to verify that my unit was operating as it should. This senior citizen has met a new HVAC hero!

B&SS is a true model of how every company should be! ! I used 2-3 other companies first when my air went out recently to try and diagnose what the issue was, and I was never given a definitive answer of what was wrong by any of them, or they would constantly try and up sell me to a whole new system by insinuating things like "we recommend taking a look at a new system at this point" or "it looks like it might just be that time to explore the options of a new system" (which I knew was unnecessary). When I called B&SS they set an appt right away and they showed up right on time as promised. They were very courteous, professional, and STRAIT FORWARD and upfront(no up sell!). George came and quickly figured out right away what the issue was, went and retrieved the part, came right back and installed it in no time. Not to mention it seems as if because they have less overhead that their charge for labor and parts was several hundred dollars less than all of my previous quotes I had been given by other companies and they were much more knowledgeable than the rest. George and his brother personally over see each job to make sure the work is done right, after all it is their companies name/reputation on the line! I HIGHLY recommend this company to ANYONE that is looking for an honest and upfront professional and needs any sort of AC repair work done, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, they are well worth the value!

RUUD 2.5 ton split AC replacement in West Ashley.
4 ton RUUD Achiever heat pump replacement.
Lennox AC repair in James Island. Weak compressor start windings, installed hard start assist to correct.
Replaced ageing Trane 2.5 ton split heat pump system due to a defective compressor.
Installed 2 ton RUUD Achiever air conditioning system due to previous HEIL system having a major R-22 Freon leak in the evaporator coil.

3 ton HEIL gas furnace maintenance in West Ashley. Replaced start and run capacitors and cleaned burner assembly.
Carrier 2.5 ton gas pack furnace repair. Found 1 of 2 burners rusted and broken and heat exchanger cracked allowing carbon monoxide in conditioned air. Disabled unit and will quote for furnace installation.
