Matt and his guys arrived on time and ready to work for the day. I was kind of expecting a dusty mess in my house, but that didn’t happen. They covered all the working areas in clear plastic “tarps”, worked their magic diligently, then cleaned up as if they were never there! Before they left they explained how my new mini split AC unit works and took me outside to explain that unit as well. I’m glad I called Chud.
Response from Chud Air Conditioning & Heating:
We're glad you chose Chud too Lois! Thank you for the glowing review.
I called several contractors, a few times I might add, then I saw Chud’s name. I recognized that name from seeing it around town, so I called them and they said they’d be out that same afternoon. Wow, I didn’t have to chase them around for their business. Refreshing. Paul answered all my questions about a system I’m thinking of installing. It was like service of yesteryear!

Hi Lois, we appreciate the good review. Chud works hard to create a good experience and reviews like this make it all worth it!

Service call due to a recent inspection where the auxiliary heat (emergency heat kit) failed the inspection. In order to access the electric heat compartment the unit may need to be disconnected and moved and re-installed. Other options would include unit replacement for future servicing or removing the roof truss that is restricting access. I was unable to remove the panel today in order to perform any additional diagnostic work. I will discuss this with Dr. Ufberg to determine what the next step will be. Dr. Kirsch is not involved in the decision making process. I did test the electric heat and it was not functioning. BILLOUT. Air Handler, Lennox M#CBX27UH-030-230-6-03, S#1616F12333. Performed AC maintenance. Ran amperage draw on indoor blower motor and outdoor compressor and both are within safe operating range. Checked capacitor on condenser and that is also within operating range. Cleared drain line and condensate is draining properly. Checked temperature split on supply and return duct work and received a 20 degree temperature differential which is right on target. Added some pads under outdoor condenser to level it properly. Left 16x25x1 filter with customer since they just changed it recently. Tested system, system is operating properly at this time. Recommended Reme Halo UV light due to customer being very sensitive to smell and possible “dirty sock syndrome” in evaporator coil. Collected check # 340 for $279.00
Replaced entire dryer run with 4” hard duct and a new exterior vent. All ductwork is securely installed and all seams are sealed with the proper heat resistant aluminum tape. Cleaned out the lint trap and tested dryer. The dryer is functioning properly at this time and exhaust flow is optimal. We highly recommend have a dryer vent cleaning performed every one to 2 years due to the length of the run. Thank you for your business!
