Performed preventative maintenance for air conditioning for the main house system and master bedroom system. Customer also had a concern with his child’s bedroom not getting air. Upon inspection I found the vents that are visible are false vents. The floor vent that is used for air was covered by an item in the bedroom. Removed the item from over the vent and showed the customer. Inspected all the electrical components. Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Tested the amp draw of the blower, compressor and fan motor. All were operating within the manufacturer specs. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. System is operating at a 20° For main system and master bedroom system differential on a 77° day. Customer replaced the Merv 11 (16x25x5) air filters for both systems. Systems are operating properly at this time. House has 3 full systems in total.
Performed preventative maintenance for York heat pump. I observed the system starting normally. The amp draw for the blower motor is within normal range. All electrical components are intact and operating properly. heat coils seem to be in good condition. Blower wheel is clean. Drain line is free of any clogs. The condenser turned on for a couple of minutes then the system defaulted to EM heat. The condenser has a blinking code for low pressure. I connected my gauges and noticed that the system in heat mode goes into negative pressure then shuts off. I ran the system in ac mode and found that the refrigerant pressures were within normal range. This tells me that there is an restriction with the reversing valve. The homeowner contacted his realtor and is contacting the company that installed the system. The system is only 2 years old.
Lennox high efficiency furnace, Removed the old inducer motor, collector box , pressure switches and old drain line. Installed a new collector box, inducer motor , pressure switches and drain line. Tested the system and checked for leaks. This is a preventative repair. The system was starting to get a error code just like the first system we repaired. The system is operating properly at this time.
Return visit to evaluate Lennox gas furnace. Warranty cold end header box, inducer assembly and new pressure switches were installed by PT on Friday, 01/14/22. On arrival today I tested the furnace before replacing any more parts and everything worked. I performed several more tests with exhaust and intake piping connected and the system successfully fired every startup with no error codes. I went through the system again to clear all tubing and vacuum any PVC shavings. Inspected outdoor exhaust and intake piping and everything is clear. System is operating properly and switching from 1st and 2nd stage heat as it was designed to do.
Performed preventative maintenance for a high efficiency Lennox furnace. I observed the system starting normally. I took a combustion analysis test and got the following readings, o2 is 13%, co is at 7ppm and the system is operating at 93%. The amp draws for the blower motor is within normal range. I observed the system starting normally once it reached the desired temperature. I removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor. Cleaned out the burners and burner box. Checked all electrical components needed for heating. Homeowner recently replaced the air filter Merv-11 20x25x4. The system is getting error code 225 which is an error code for the pressure switches. Due to the system being under warranty it is recommended that the collector box, inducer motor and pressure switches should all be replaced to prevent any issues in the future. Preventative maintenance on Carrier high efficiency gas furnace. Performed routine check of 16x25x1 air filter, flame sensor, amperage check on inducer and indoor blower. Verified gas pressure at valve. The furnace is currently operating properly at this time.
Removed old defrost board and defrost temp sensor and installed new defrost board and defrost temp sensor. I turned the system on and connected my gauges. The system is currently charged with enough refrigerant at this time. Observed the system operating for 30 minutes to ensure that the system is operating properly.
Upon inspection system was off on liquid line temp sensor. This is a flash code on the defrost board. Reset the system to test operation. System pressures were 107/280 due to temperature today and humidity this looks to be minorly low on refrigerant charge. Temperature split was 17 degrees but felt little heat removal on liquid line. To cover all bases I recommend replacing liquid line temperature sensor, defrost board and adding proper refrigerant. Customer replaced is going to reach out to installing company first. If any issues he will follow up with us. System was cooling as I left but most likely will shut down at some point.
Came out today for a no ac call. Found the condenser not running. Reset the high pressure switch and replaced the capacitor. Titan pro capacitor 45 +5. Part no. Trcfd455. Old capacitor was ohm at 24 and 2.
