Paul provided good service BUT I am very disappointed with both Lennox AND your original recommendation to use Lennox and the installation of the systems in my home in 2014. We are confronting a coil failure after 4 years and maybe a compressor failure as well. I have referred you to many other friends in St. Ives and only hope they do not have similar problems as you have a good word of mouth reputation in our neighborhood. Thank you.
Completed 1 system furnace repair and preventative maintenance check. Changed the filter. Wiped out the furnace cabinet and cleaned the burners. Cleared the barometric tubing and cleaned the pressure switch port and the inducer port. Tested the combustion and found proper oxygen and CO levels. Tested the mechanical and electrical components and found a weak flame sensor. The system has no inline water protection to protect the furnace from water damage. Recommended adding it to the system. Replaced the flame sensor and installed secondary water safety. The system is heating at this time.
Furnace repair call. Setup a wall hanging heater. The system needed to be set up for natural gas. Selector dial was set for LP. Checked heater and is working well at this time.
Came out for a tune-up and found the system not heating correctly. Discovered that the zone board was going to emergency heat all the time instead of switching through the dual fuel. Determined the board needs to be replaced. Also found the damper motors bad. Quoted price to replace and the customer just wanted damper opened all the time. We need to return to replace the board.
Completed 2 system furnace repair and preventative maintenance check. Replaced the filter. Checked the electrical and safety switches. All are okay at this time. Performed a combustion test on both furnaces and all were within range. Both systems are heating normally.
Renewed the Comfort Club Membership and completed 2 heating preventative maintenance checks. Found the upstairs furnace operating normally and within manufacturer specs. The flame sensor is weak. Suggested to replace it and suggested to install inline water protection. The customer declined. Found the downstairs furnace operating at only 88% efficiency. The inducer assembly is making a noise and high at amp at 3/2.8 rating. It could overheat. The customer wants to keep checking on motor. Found the flue pipe leaking water. Added more pvc glue to help stop the leak. Both systems are operating at this time. Changed both filters that the customer provided. Suggested an APCO air purifier to improve air quality.
Furnace repair call. Reset system and started heating. Found nothing else wrong. Need to diagnose system before resetting if happens again.
Completed 1 system furnace repair and preventative maintenance check. Found the flame sensor to be white and brittle and blower wheel to be dirty recommend replacing sensor and cleaning whee. Replaced filter and added scent booster strip to filter per customer.
Replaced circuit board with OEM board. Replaced 2 rollout switches and the high limit switch. Found the low voltage wire going to the condenser is shorted. Ned to run new wire. The customer had Cc stolen and is waiting for a new one. Gave option of running a check and he would prefer the Cc over the phone.
Found the board giving another false code. The error is an open rollout. All of the switches in the furnace have been bypassed or have been changed and the error message continues. Need to change the board back to OeM and replace all rollout and high limit switches. Ordered the parts and will return when available.
Furnace repair. Checked and found the water flue due to leaking vent cap. Need a roofer to check the vent. Put a hole at the lower point of the flue to help drain the water. The system is operating at this time. Found the thermostat not operating properly. Need to replace the thermostat. Suggested that the customer sign up for a Comfort Club Membership plan.
Furnace repair downstairs system. Find 26 year old carrier system. Find pilot light out. Check and find gas valve not operating properly, burner not burning properly and system calibration off. Furnace overheating with 72 degrees delta T. Find heat exchanger rusted and high concern CO 70 PPM while system operating. Evaporator coil badly rusted and have some molds in supply plenum. System operating now but will fail again. Find upstairs furnace operating but dangerous CO level a 2700PPM. System no longer safe to operate. Turn system off. Find furnace heat exchanger badly rusted. Due to poor conditions and not safe to operate. System need to be upgraded to meet code and EPA Regulations. Give customer estimate to upgrade systems and pictures on conditions of system.
Completed 2 system maintenance. Found nothing wrong on either system. Both water safeties are installed for each system. The combustion is good and the filters are clean. The systems are running at this time.
Found circuit that was installed 2 weeks ago was bad. Giving false error code of a open roll out switch. Replaced board and restored heating.
Furnace repair call. Blower cap weak and no secondary water safety. Combustion test pass. Upstairs office area combustion test pass, flame safety weak, and no secondary water safety. Also, the thermostat will not switch over to emergency heat. Family room and daughter's room have no water safety at all. Mold growing inside unit: recommend adding antimicrobial light. Also, unit low on charge and leaking from the evaporator coil. Kitchen combustion test pass, system operation normal at this time Right side house combustion test pass, UV bulb past 2 years of life and needs to be changed Replaced cap in gym unit. Replaced flame s seiners office unit. Replaced bulb in right side unit. Added apco to family room. The customer wants a quote on replacing family room air handler so we need to send a consultant out.
Thermostat busted. Home warranty will only pay partial and she does not want to pay the difference. The system not working upon departure.
