A true professional

When Jeff arrived at my house the 1st words I told him, you are the last chance comfort control has to keep my business. After about 15 minutes of him troubleshooting and his explanations of system operation, he convinced me I was upset for no reason. HIs experience, systematic troubleshooting skills and communication skills are unsurpassed. Hat's off to you Jeff, job very well done.

A/c repair and preventative maintenance check on up and downstairs systems. Downstairs checks out fine, though could use additional ducting for the supply as well as the return. Upstairs unit slightly low on refrigerant, but the upstairs is not occupied so it is not a major concern for the customer. Please check to see when renewal payment is due. The customer is under the impression that her maintenance gets renewed in the fall.

Found system off on a low-pressure fault. Cycled low voltage off and got the system to turn on. Checked amps and pressures and found no problems. The capacitor is running well. Replaced the filter in the air handler and inspected coil. Could not find any reason why it tripped off on low pressure. The switch could possibly be going bad or storm short cycled system. Recommend membership to evaluate these systems more regularly.

2 aged systems. Up and downstairs. The customer explained that she is not interested in upgrades, performance enhancements, or anything that is not NEEDED for the basic function of her equipment. The upstairs system was not functioning properly due to a failed 30/5 capacitor at the outdoor unit. Compressor side was reading 2.6. Downstairs system outdoor unit 35/5 capacitor was reading well below factory specification. Compressor side read 28.4. Replaced both capacitors at the approval of the customer. Both systems lack flood prevention auxiliary switches. (An explanation of the importance of these items was given to her and she understands but has opted out of having them installed). Both up and down stairs have registers that she wants to leave closed. (An explanation was given to her of the importance of proper air flow and the potential damage that can be caused to the equipment but she prefers to leave them closed).

5 system a/c tune-up complete. Changed downstairs filter. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Found weak voltage absorption system in kitchen system (60/3). Den system is low on r22 and freezing up. R22 is a refrigerant being phased out by the epa in 2020. Customer wants estimates to replace kitchen and den systems, will send Garrett out to give quotes.
