Today I completed the installation of a new high-efficiency Carrier Infinity Series heating and cooling system for a client. I installed the 4-ton outdoor condenser unit, matched indoor air handler, and digital programmable thermostat. The new system features SEER 18 cooling and AFUE 96% heating, significantly improving the home's energy efficiency.
Furnace replacement. Customer's unit was only barely putting out heat anymore; was already over 10 years old. Completed furnace installation and tested system for proper operation, customer stated they could already tell a difference.
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville, replaced indoor fan motor. System is cooling at this time.
Ac service in Gainesville. Discovered failed variable speed furnace control board. Need to order and return to replace under warranty.
Tune up Gainesville. Did a leak search on evaporator coil. Did not find any leaks. Capacitor is within range. Compressor is good. Motor amps are within range. Drain line is clear. Pressures are within range. Package unit is within range.
Tune up Gainesville. Did a leak search on both evaporator coils. Did not find any leaks. Blower wheels are clean. Changed filters. Drain lines are clear. No cracks in either heat exchangers. Outdoor capacitors are both within range. Pressures on both systems are within range. Both systems cooling at this time.
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville, changed pureairx filter. Filter was really dirty. Also showed customer how to replace filters. Checked system operation, system is cooling at this time.
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville. Unit is a R22 system. Found a leak in the evaporator coil. System is low on refrigerant that can cost the unit to ice up. Customer was given a quote and he said he’ll think about it.
Tune up Gainesville. Customer had water leaking out of indoor unit. Found it was due to a clogged condensate trap. Water had backed up into drain pan and soaked the insulation. Replaced condensate trap. Changed filter. Blower wheel is clean. Drain line is clear. Did not find any leaks on evaporator coil. Outdoor capacitor is within range. Pressures are within range. System is cooling at this time.
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville. Unit is located in the basement. Unit was off on the main switch, also found battery on thermostat put the wrong way, switch behind thermostat was set to electric heat instead of heat pump. And I also found two wires on the condenser installed wrong. Fixed problem, system is cooling at this time. Refrigerant pressures are good.
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville. Secondary drain pan was full of water, condensate pump was dirty and also drain line. Cleared condensate pump and flush drain line. System is cooling at this time, blower wheel is clean evaporator coil is clean.
Ac service in Gainesville. Discovered mini split with clogged filters and drain line. Also adjusted drain line for proper decline for draining. Checked system refrigerant charge and is within manufacturing spec. System operation normal at this time
A/c diagnostic in Gainesville. System is cooling at this time. Found big peace of plastic in the blower wheel making a loud noise. Blower wheel is clean, evaporator coil is clean, filter was changed.
Warranty Gainesville. Took pictures of indoor and outdoor units.
Maintenance Gainesville. Was not able to change filter because it is a specialty filter. Customer is going to order a new 20x25x5 filter and we need to reschedule to come back out and install for her. Cleared drain lines. Blower wheel is clean. Indoor capacitor is within range. Did a leak test on evaporator coil. Did not find any leaks. Outdoor capacitor is within range. Pressures are within range. System is cooling at this time.
