Customer called about a leak at her water heater. Upon arrival, inspected area. Customer also mentioned that the limit switch would pop often. Water heater is inside a closet next to a softener. Customer moved in about a year ago, softener was installed right before. Provided pricing to perform diagnostic work with options for potential repairs. Also provided pricing for a new water heater install. Customer financed through Greensky and accepted pricing for a new water heater. Isolated tank from power and water, drained. Tested incoming power, 240v across, 120v per. Removed tank, installed new pan and pan drain to exterior. Installed new 50 gallon electric water heater with new flex supplies. Ran T&P drain in cpvc, connected onto the existing copper drain. Routed softener drain into T&P drain as it was before. Filled tank, purged air, powered on. Tested upper thermostat and element, 240v across, 120v per, 18 amp. Tested lower thermostat and element, same result. Caulked new drain hole
