Customer wanted to replace their old yard hydrant with an owner supplied hydrant. The customer excavated the area around the hydrant. Shut off water to the hydrant. Bled the lines of remaining water. Heated up the fitting. Unthreaded old hydrant from 3/4 brass tee. Cleaned off threads of nipple going into the tee. Applied Teflon tape and thread sealant. Threaded on new hydrant. Set 4x4 post into ground. The customer backfilled with pea gravel and I secured the hydrant to the post with a two hole clamp. Gave customer an estimate for a replacement electric water heater. Currently he has a 40 gallon low boy electric and is interested in propane replacement or electric. Will meet with management to send an updated estimate for the propane water heater replacement.
