They have unit pricing. If you only need a leaky valve fixed they charge for a full reinstallation. 2 hrs or 6 all the same price. I get the knowledge thing, but all I needed was a new saddle clamp for the ice maker installed that was leaking. I was quoted for $500.00. I reluctantly paid the $65 service call for a 2 hr job in my mind and I sent them on their way. For the $500 I can afford to take the day off, fix it and still save money.
I appreciated that during the annual service, a great amount of time was spent determining the source of a noise. This is a new house, and apparently, the fresh-air intake system is not sufficient and the velocity of air needed through an imperfect intake size is causing the noise. CPI was not responsible for the product or installation from the home builder, but provided solutions to make the situation better.
The experience was good. The prices were higher then I was expecting, but I have not yet seen the final quote.
Kudos to the entire team at CPI. Scheduling was quick and easy and Coady did an awesome job
Performed backflow test on 2 inch DCVA for irrigation. Passed test. Will forward test results to local water purveyor.
Customer called in with a leak at their water meter. Arrived on site and inspected the issue. There is a water meter vault located at the curb along with the rest of the incoming utilities. The meter vault is full to the top with water. The city has been out to the site and pumped the vault down, they let the customer know the leak was on their side of the meter and did not specify any other information. Provided pricing to perform de-water of the box in an attempt to locate the source of the leak. The customer approved the pricing. Used a sump pump to empty the meter vault. Was able to confirm that the leak does appear to be coming from the outlet side of the meter vault. The piping is not visible, but there is a steady flow of water coming from the ground on the outlet side of the vault. This flow stops when the meter is turned off. Provided the customer with pricing to excavate the area with a vacuum truck to expose the water service. This type of excavation is the only safe
When I showed up onsite the permit said the inspection was approved. After speaking with the office it appears the pan drain needed to be routed outside. Route pan drain to exterior of building. Thank you for choosing CPI!
10/16/2020 Confirmed customer had a blockage in the mainline due to all fixtures in the house not draining. Pulled toilet and used cable down drain line clearing out paper blockage. Used camera in drain line verifying drain is clear to the city sewer. Drain line is compromised of cast iron so gave customer pricing to install clean out on the location of previous blockage. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating.
Opened water gate valve on hot and cold side of water heater fully
Water leak was located on 1 inch copper waterline that Soli supplies the bakeries commercial dishwasher. There is a very violent water hammering affect when the water turns on and off to the dishwasher. Over the years the bracing that suspends the waterline from the ceiling has either broken in multiple places or unthreaded itself. This caused a 30 foot section of pipe to drop 12 inches and rest on the metal roof trusses and over a period of time the metal wore a hole through the copper waterline. We added a couple more pipe hangers and repaired the broken ones. Then at the hot water heater turned off the water and cut the leaking section of pipe out. We turn the water back on and tested for leaks. We did not find any more leaks on this section of pipe but found two more leaks on the cold side of the system that we will have to put Price in together for

Arrived onsite customer presented two main issues to me. First issue was he wasn’t sure when the last time his furnace was serviced or inspected, the second issue was he discovered some holes in his duct work. I presented the option of a bronze membership with the customer which would get his furnace inspected and the ductwork inspected as well. Customer approved this. Furnace is 27 years old so I presented a couple options for replacement one is a direct replacement second is a 95% efficient furnace. Third option is a 80% furnace with a heat pump. After inspecting the ductwork I discovered 6 holes in total, lots of duct work that wasn’t in too great of condition, and some duct work that had restricted air flow. Presented a price to replace all of the ductwork inside of the crawl space with new all metal ductwork, pricing includes disposal and installation of ductwork, sealing and insulating of all the ductwork as well. Here is the number for duct cleaning incase you wanted to go
Performed work as proposed. Cut and removed existing shower valve. Installed new delta shower valve. Removed existing emergency stops for bathroom sink and toilet. Installed new quarter turn emergency shut offs. Turned water back on to test. When I went in to check for leaks I saw that it was leaking at the toilet shut off, the leak was coming from the just behind the shut off on the 1/2†copper pipe. Added in option for 1/2†copper leak repair. Once repair was made and the new stop was put on, I then went to turn water back on. Double checked all my connections, no leaks at this time. Cleaned up work area. Thank you for choosing CPI plumbing and heating.
The LED light on the gas control valve indicated that the temperature sensor has failed. This means that the gas control valve Hass to be completely swapped out. Turned the water off to the tank and drain it completely out. Followed Honeywell step-by-step instructions of disassembling and removing the faulty gas control valve and performing all of the prep work for the installation of the new one. Being that this tank is 10 years old the honey well gas control valve is not the most recent model. After getting the newest model installed and the gas back on and the tank filled I set the thermostat at 120 and let them know if they want it to be a hotter they need to turn it up themselves. While the tank was drained I removed the mixing valve on top of the hot water heater.
The pump basin is completely full of sewage spilling out from the top. The breaker for the pumps is tripped. Mike turned the breaker back on and it immediately tripped again. The sewage in the basin needs to be pumped out before any diagnostics or work can be done. I recommend calling a septic company to pump out the basin. * Further charges will apply on return visit.
This is the same issue that they’ve had and multiple other units. The plastic shower drain has started to leak through the seal as it passes through the hall of the fiberglass floor. Reggie had already opened up the ceiling on level one because the shower is on level two. We cut out down stream from the 2 inch p-trap. Then cut the rest of the shower drain completely out. I cleaned off the surface of the fiberglass before sliding are brass all metal shower drain through. Thread it on the bottom tension not then tightened up the four set screws that hold the shower drain in place. Taking measurements from the drain we cut out we were able to cut pieces of 2 inch PVC to the link that we needed, Then cut the rest of the shower drain completely out. They cleaned off the surface of the fiberglass before sliding our brass all metal shower drain through. Threaded on the bottom tension not then tightened up the four set screws that hold the shower drain in place. Taking measurements from the
