Customer called about needing her ice maker box replaced as the threads on the existing one are damaged. Upon arrival, inspected valve. First threads are broken and the new supply will not grab. Ice maker is on the top floor of the home. Daylight basement ceiling would need to be opened up to make a secure connection to the existing copper water line. Explained necessary steps and provided pricing, customer declined. Also, the new lavatory sink needed to be connected to the drain coming from the wall. Inspected. Offered to install new p-trap and test, customer accepted. Installed new trap, tested. No leaks detected, draining as intended. Took a look at the customers water softener and walked her through the process of changing the filter. Advised customer to have her tankless serviced at least once a year to increase its life. Unit is 13 years old which is the average life of a tankless. Emailed estimate for a new ice maker box. Thank you for choosing CPI!
