Arrived onsite to customers complaint of an electrical smell, customer declined furnace replacement and accepted pricing for diagnostic work. Found two contactors that were very pitted. Discovered that the overload on one of the banks of strip heats was tripping. Found that quite a bit of registers were closed. Opened up Registers and recommended keeping them open. Took amperage and resistance readings on strip heat and compared it to the ohms law calculations and found that they were off.
