Arrived on site per customer complaint of the furnace not working. Furnace is a Rheem electric furnace and is over over 30 years old. Presented pricing for diagnostic as well as replacement. Customer decided to move forward with diagnostic, and stated that they did not know how to operate the thermostat. The thermostat had been set to a schedule, in which some temperatures were set to 62 degrees. With the customer’s approval, reset weekday and weekend schedules to always heat the home to 68 degrees, and showed the customer how to override the schedule if necessary. With the schedule set, gave the unit a call for heat. The unit kicked right on. Tested a,o draw for the heat strips, all heat strips were reading approximately 20 A. The blower motor was pulling 2.61 A. Took a temperature reading from a supply register and got a reading of 103 degrees.
