Customer called about a leaking drain pipe in their boiler room. Upon arrival, customer explained that they had found water around the base of the pipe where is enters the slab as well as on top of the hub of the wye. Inspected drain, flushed master toilet until we could see water appear. Leak was at a 3” abs 45 about 4’ off of the ground. A crack had formed beneath the 45. Showed customer the crack. Provided pricing to make the repair, customer accepted. Advised customer not to use any upstairs fixtures or drains. Cut out the 3” 45. Reamed pipe, installed a new section of 3” pvc dwv with a 45 and connected to the existing abs with two mission bands. Waited for glue to cure, flushed master toilet ten times while running lavatory sink. No leaks detected. Cleaned work area. Thank you for choosing CPI!
