Customer called about a leaking water heater. Tank was 9 years old and was leaking from somewhere behind the jacket. Gave pricing to replace the tank with a new 50 gallon propane tank. Customer accepted with a membership. Began draining the previous tank. Installed a new expansion tank, dirt leg, gas supply, water supply connectors, earthquake straps and ran the T&P drain in cpvc and connected to the existing cpvc drain. Filled the tank, purged all air from the home and lit the burner compartment. Used soap to bubble test all gas connections. Used my electronic gas sniffer and tested for leaks. Small amount of gas coming from behind gas control valve. Called Bradford White tech support and spoke with Tim. Explained that I found 1000 ppm coming from behind and above the gas control valve. He stated that there is always up to 200 cc of gas coming from this area and that the electronic gas detector was picking it up because it’s propane and that it is fine. Walked the customer er throug
