Customer has a gas line that runs underground to where they can have a pool heater installed, they want the gas line tested before they buy a pool heater but the water heater is not working at this time and takes precedence at this time. Water heater is 9+ years old and upon diagnosis the heater will not light, recommend new pilot assembly and gas control valve. Customer would like to start with the pilot assembly and platinum membership, Pace is closed until Monday so we will have to order the parts and get back to the customer to install the new part. Will schedule job with dispatch on Monday when I order the parts from Pace.
Performed Heater Maintenance on rooftop package unit. Checked all electrical and is in good condition no burnt or loose connections. Compressor compartment had dirt and leaves in it so I removed the debris. Checked condensate drain to make sure wasn’t clogged. Unit does show signs of age but the mechanical part is fine. Slightly rusty near electrical panel but looks intact. Checked flame sensor and is clean. Blower compartment was very dirt so I wiped down the blower motor and wiring to it. Customer interested in membership in future didn’t want to go with it today.
Upon arrival customer has a tankless water heater that she would like an estimate for a recirculating pump. Customer has 5 year old tankless that has never been flushed and does not have isolation valves. She does not want a recirculating pump with a timer she would like the one with a push button. I gave an option for the taco genie with a button. I also explained the importance of flushing the water heater once a year. Customer always gets three bids and will contact us. I went over our membership program and emailed estimates to customer.
