The service I received today from Crystal Blue Plumbing, Heating and Air was awesome. From making my phone call to them, to having the technicians arrive and take care of my issue, the experience was great. They handled our issue very professionally and were very polite and respectful. Should we have a need for help again they will be getting the call.
Upon arrival customer would like an estimate to replace his existing fiberglass shower and pan which would also include a new shower valve. This shower is located on a slab foundation. I emailed estimates to replace the shower with a fiberglass caulk less shower and pan with shower valve. This job would take 4-5 days and with 2 technicians. Emailed estimates to customer.
This estimate is to tee off of exposed pex piping on both hot and cold sides and drill through the cabinet to come down the studs and move to copper stubouts with shut off valves on them We will turn water off to house and drain water down We will cut into hot and cold lines and tee off them. We will circle cut through the cabinet to run water lines through. We will bring those lines down the studs strapping every 3feet and stub out with copper with shut off valves. We will turn water back on to house and check for leaks. Once completed we will clean out workspace collect payment. 3/30 returned to do quoted work. Installed hot and cold limes with angle stops in customers garage. Strapped piping and checked for leaks. No leaks or faults at this time. Collected balance via check and customer would like invoice mailed as he does not have email. Uploaded pictures of completed work.

Technician Taylor arrived to the administrative office for the Loomis Union School district. Technician discovered a 30 gallon natural gas water heater that is stored in an attic area had failed and leaked through the ceiling. District maintenance was out cleaning it up and technician met with supervisor. Technician discussed with supervisor about a full replacement and what would need to be changed including adding an extra strap and doing an expansion tank as well. technician recommended new ball valves at the shut-offs for hot and cold and client agreed. Technician will type of proposal and after approval dispatch will schedule.
Technician Taylor arrived on scene to investigate reports of problem with gas at outdoor fire pit. Upon investigation technician learned from client that fire pit was just installed by a contractor in the last couple of weeks. Contractor ran dedicated 1-in line underground to fire pit. but where it pokes out of the concrete the fire pit is created from it is only 3/4. That three-quarter line then connects to a 36-in flexible supply line which then hooks into a three-ring fire pit burner. Client stated her main concern is just that the flames are relatively short. Client was expecting a larger amount of fire for the pit she had installed. Technician doesn't believe there's anything wrong with the gas system. Technician believes the main problem lies with the actual burner itself due to the size and design of it. Technician stated he could simply do something as small as replace the flexible line or provide quotes for replacing the whole burner.
Performed double sided wall furnace diagnostic. Found pilot not on. Relite pilot. Recommend replacing system due to age, client wants to wait till summer. Went over replacement options. And how if we keep having to come out you will pay for a new one in service and repair fees. Clients just hoping to get thru to summer. No guarantees.
Customer has a sewage coming up from his tub and shower, also there was sewage coming from the joined wall of the back to back bathrooms. Pulled the toilet and tried running a snake down the line, ran camera down the line and they plumbed the toilets with an open ended double fixture tee. Starting digging outside to find the pipe and pop the line and install a cleanout. After hours of digging I found the original cleanout, customer will put the dirt back. Cleared the line with a snake, ran the camera and found a sizeable belly in the line going to the septic tank. Ran the camera towards the home and noticed dirt in the line, looks to be the tub has a break and found roots inside the line as well. Customer is remodeling the bathroom and will have us out to fix the line when the tub is removed. Ran water down the main sewer line for over ten minutes with no issues.

Technician Taylor arrived on scene to investigate reports of hot water heater failing. When technician arrived client stated that now he has hot water but when he woke up this morning and tried he didn't have much which concerned him. Technician and client went under home to investigate. Client lives in condo building in Auburn with a neighbor above him. Technician found 2 38 gallon shorty water heaters side by side under clients home. Both tanks are hooked up to the same water system with no identifiable split. Technician believes that both water heaters are connected to both units. So when the neighbor uses all the hot water up they're also using our clients water heater as well. Client is going to contact his property management company to figure out what the following steps are.
