We replaced warranty coil. Non covered cost associated with replacement coil through the home warranty.
Customer had an issue with her water heater not heating, I replaced both thermostats and elements in the unit and was able to correct the problem. However when I turned the water off to the unit, a clog appeared in the kitchen hot pipe. The customer wanted us to replace the galvanized and we ran upon or pex pipe from a 3/4†copper trunk line down to the faucet. We installed new angle stop and reconnected everything. After installation we tested everything and double checked the work and found no other issues at this time.
We removed the old condenser, installed warranty supplied Payne R410a condenser unit on garage with condenser pad, electrical whip and mods. We made necessary modifications on air handler to except 410a refrigerant. We sealed access and box around Airhandler in garage. We performed all non covered cost associated with replacement condenser through the home warranty. The access charge was not needed after all but we did have to caulk around all the air leaks on Airhandler to insure proper operations. We tested operations of condenser everything is working properly at this time.
Customer had complaints of a leaking pipe in the wall, what I found was a cracked push connect fitting on 3/8†pex pipe coming off a manifold. I replaced the section of pipe and the fittings with proper crimp fittings and turned the water back on. I found no other issues at this time.
On arrival homeowner was concerned about the condenser not engaging. I checked the wiring on the condenser and found no issues. I inspected the thermostat and discovered that it had a short causing the condenser not to engage. I replaced the thermostat and tested operations. The system is working properly at this time.
Non covered cost associated with replacement compressor through the home warranty. Work completed 9/4/2021 Replaced existing compressor with new compressor. Pulled vacuum. Charged with r-410a. Upon completion and cycling on cool I noticed the breaker is tripping even when nothing is connected. Recommend having electrician replace breaker and have us back out to check charge.
On arrival homeowner was concerned about water in the drain pan for his A/C system. I inspected the drain line and discovered that it was connected to the primary drain line of the other system in the house. I installed a clean out kit to both systems and preformed drain maintenance on the A/C drain line.
On arrival homeowner had concerns about water dripping from the side of the house, coming from the emergency drain. I inspected the evaporator coil for the upstairs system and discovered that the evaporator coil’s primary drain was clogged causing the water to overflow and drip from underneath the evaporator instead of the main drain. On further inspection I found that the downstairs a/c drains were connected with the upstairs a/c drain into a drain pipe without a bushing. Without a way to flush the system I recommend the homeowner to have a clean out kit for both the upstairs and downstairs system and a bushing as well as to add an in-line float switch to prevent any water from dripping into the emergency drain pan incase of a future clog. We also went ahead and flushed both the upstairs and downstairs drains from any build up. The drain systems for both systems are working properly at this time.
I disconnected the kitchen sink, dishwasher and the drains required to allow the removal of the kitchen cabinets. I removed all necessary lines and capped off everything to ensure no further damage could be allowed.
Customer stated the downstairs system was not cooling. I evaluated system and discovered the out door condenser coil had a refrigerant leak in it. I was able to locate the leak. Customer approved for the repairs to be done on her system. I recovered and disposal of the refrigerant properly. I had to repair the copper to aluminum joint and make copper modifications to properly repair leak. I nitrogen tested and pulled a 500 micron vacuum and recharge the system with new R410a refrigerant. I charged the system to manufacture specs and tested operations everything is working properly at this time.
Arrived and found water heater not heating. Gas control valve needs to be replaced. Returned same day and replaced GCV. Heater is working properly at this time.
On arrival homeowner was concerned about ductwork needing to be repaired, I inspected the loose run an discovered that the duct run came undone after a strap holding the ductwork was broken. I repaired the loose connection and added 2 additional straps to hold ductwork in place. At this time the ductwork system is working properly.
Performed a drain clear on the AC condensation drain line. I also poured a cup of bleach for the homeowner to clear up all the left over algae. Tested drain line everything is working properly at this time.
On arrival homeowner was having issues with drain lines getting clogged. We separated both primary drain lines from each other and ran new primary drain into the downstairs a/c system and re-routed it into a near by riser. Both systems now have their own primary drain and are working properly.
On arrival I inspected the upstairs furnace, checked voltage on all components and determined the a/c fan blower was not working. Without the fan blower running it caused the a/c system to freeze. I changed out the blower motor and cleaned the fan blade from any restrictions. The blower motor and a/c system are now working properly.
