I found this company on a google search, which made me a little nervous, but it turned out to be a really good choice. The technician was confident without being cocky and a super nice guy. I felt like things were in good hands. My furnace was 20 yrs old and he recommended a new one, but didn’t push at all. I really appreciated that. I completed a diagnostic service call on a Bryant Air conditioner. Determined that there were no issues.
I completed the spring tune up on a Rheem air conditioner. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I removed a Tempstar Gas Furnace and Carrier Air Conditioner. I installed a Five Star 96% 80,000 BTU Gas Furnace and a 16 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement.
I completed an install of a Carrier Variable Speed 3 Ton Electric Furnace/ "Slant" Coil, a Carrier 16 SEER 3 Ton Heat Pump, and an Aprilaire 600M Humidifier.
I installed a Five Star 80% 70,000 BTU Gas Furnace 3T 17" to replace the customer's current unit. I cycled the system to ensure functionality. System is operational upon departure.
I installed a Five Star Multi-Speed 2 Ton Electric Furnace.
I found that the system would run briefly then inducer would fill up with water and shut down. I cleared clog in drain line running from bottom of flue to condensate trap. I restarted system and it is now operational and heating the house.
I found that the thermostat is bad so I replaced with a Honeywell6 programmable thermostat. I also found that one of the heat banks will need replaced as client has been using emergency heat to heat the house. I recommend replacing the 1987 Carrier electric furnace, client will let me know.
I found that loss of power was due to the blower cabinet door coming loose and triggering door switch safety so I secured door and restarted system. I noticed flame rollout on startup and found multiple cracks and heat exchanger. Customer has opted to replace Bryant gas furnace.
I found that the wiring on indoor and outdoor Rheem unit do not correspond with each other and unit also needs to be rewired. Customer has home warranty and will go through them for repairs.
I checked defrost board on outdoor unit and forced system into test mode, however system would not stay in a defrost cycle. Will schedule a time to come out and replace OEM defrost sensor.
I found that the thermostat wasn't sending voltage to the control board. I replaced customer thermostat with an Emerson programmable thermostat and cycled system to verify it worked. System is on at time of departure.
I replaced the humidifier solenoid and verified that there are no leaks. Humidifier is operational at this time.
I found the humidifier stopped working because the solenoid failed. I verified by checking to make sure 24 volts were going to it. Saddle valve leaks when it is adjusted needs to be replaced. Everything else was performing within manufacturers specifications system is on and operational at time of departure
I installed a Carrier Multi-Speed X-13 3 Ton Electric Furnace and a Carrier 14 SEER 3 Ton Heat Pump. With this install comes a scheduled maintenance agreement lasting a year.
