Arrive to customers house to perform annual service while doing so I noticed water damage on top of the boiler, leak was coming from hot domestic water leaving hot water tank, advise customer of this issue customer approved repairs, carried on with cleaning

Customer had a smell of oil through vents of home coming from furnace, opened furnace up which was dry no oil inside unit or combustion chamber, combusti9n chamber clean, exhaust piping clean no sign of soot, customer does have a old oil boiler that does one room in home and hot water, unit hasn’t been serviced since 2009, it’s a possible it’s very dirty and drafting down chimney of furnace, that is only scenario I can think of furnace is spotless and has new filters. We are coming to service units in February will double check systems at that time.

Service for running toilets: Arrived to customers home. Customer shows me toilet downstairs. Customer replaced flapper on the toilet, to try to stop the toilet from running. Suggested to replace the fill valve. Went to the bathroom upstairs, and customer shows me the toilet. Customer says there is noise in the wall when ever the faucet is running at the same time with the toilet. Told the customer that it could be water hammer. Suggested to replace the fill valve. Gave an estimate to replace 2 fill valves. Customer agreed with the price and allowed me to proceed. For each toilet, I shutoff the water. Removed old fill valve and supply Line. Installed new fill valve and supply line. Adjusted water level. Replaced flapper provided by the customer. Checked for leaks and flushed several times. Customer was satisfied with the work that was done. Mentioned about Plumbing MA and water quality test. Customer says they will think about it. Paid with card.

Upon arrival I went in to the basement and had the customer show me where she wants the slop sink to be installed. It would be next to the sewage injection pit. There’s already a hot and cold water line that the sink can be tied in to. After checking all of that out gave customer estimate. The customer directed us to the upstairs bathroom where she claimed to be having leakage issues in her shower door. The door was visibly damaged and worn and was unable to close completely. Customer claimed her husband had caulked all the seams but still water found a way through. I told the customer that it’s in her best interest to replace not only the door but the shower surround. We’re going to create an estimate on that and to follow up with the customer. Customer is satisfied with service.

No water leak at indirect water heater, leak is coming from flue above indirect, explained to customer she needs a chimney person to evaluate flue.

Folks arrived on 08/20/2021 for no water. Upon arrival I tested the wires to the pump from the casing and got a very high resistance which mean the windings on the pump are no good. I also checked the voltage to the pressure switch and we are getting 240v. I recommended replacing the pump as well as the tank in the basement. The customer is going to talk it over with her husband and decide which option they would like to go with. I then thanked the customer for choosing folks and left.

Arrived at customers home for a no water call. Upon arriving I asked customer to show me where the house pressure tank was. Checked the pressure switch and the connectors was stuck in the closed position but once they made contact they called for water. I recommended that customer replace the tank and manifold completely. I then tested customers water which they had 15 grains of hardness as well as a ph level of 7.2. Notified customer of the water test results and emailed different options on how to treat their water. Everything was in working order on departure.
