Arrived to perform preventative maintenance on both AC systems at their home Davie. On site, we Cleared the drain lines, cleared the drain pans, added gel tabs, and changed the filter that the customer provided. We also sterilized the system with self rinsing chemicals. Once maintenance was complete checked systems for proper operation.
We arrived at this commercial facility to address two ac systems that were not cooling properly. After our technician arrived to the scene and performed a full diagnostic to discover what type of AC repair is needed in Davie. During this residential call in Davie, the customer reported that the system was freezing and leaking water. After review, we discovered there were multiple issues including an extremely dirty blower wheel causing improper airflow, the liquid filter was rusted out, and the condenser coil was in poor shape. Instead of suggesting repairs on this 23 year old system, we advised to replace it with a new, energy efficiency system. Our comfort consultant went out to this customer to suggest the best options for her home.
Since the unit was not cooling, we inspected the power source and concluded that the contactor needed to be replaced which allowed power to follow undisrupted through the unit. The condenser coil was not being cooled so we also replaced the condenser fan motor which restored the fan that blows air across the condenser coil, where it cools the refrigerant from a hot gas into a liquid.
