Arrived at the job for a new furnace installation. Turned off the power and disconnected all wiring to the unit. Next we removed all the gas lines, return duct, exhaust and other miscellaneous items. We brought the new furnace up to the attic and fitted it in place. We connected the ac coil cabinet and return duct. We re-routed and connected all electrical wiring including the low voltage. We reassembled all the gas lines, purged and checked for leaks. Installed the exhaust lines and taped the joints. We fired up the furnace and allowed it to run and cycle for a few minutes. Connected the manometer to check gas pressures, inlet pressure read 7.5”wc outlet pressure set to 3.5”wc. Furnace was running excellent. Job completed.

We arrived to the customer house. Customer says that when the thermostat calls for 80 degrees, the unit takes 40 minutes to turn on. We proceeded to check the unit and found that everything was fine. We called tech support and they told us that the unit was not as efficient for this house. Recommended replace the furnace. (Technician need to talk to Frank about this job) customer no moving forward option. Customer is happy with the service.

Greeted Natalie, and proceeded to perform a PTU on her furnace. I checked and inspected all the usuals such as the flame se, rollout switches, pressure switches, hose’s, electrical wiring and connections, the condensate pump, burners, gas pressure, gas valve, igniter, etc. etc. the system is in excellent operating condition. Spoke to Natalie regarding a service contract and it’s benefits. Natalie is interested in a water softener. I created several options for consideration and explained the process and what it entails. She said that, it would most likely get done after the holidays. I also brought up the Synchrony option and explained the details, so as to move forward. She is not ready to commit until after the new year. Job completed. Customer was very happy with the service.

Showed up early to the job site and began to disconnect the electrical wiring to the boiler (supply & low voltage). Drained the heating zones along with the boiler and began to cut it out of place. Once the unit was disconnected Luis and I took the unit through the Bilko doors up the stairs and outside. Brad and Dan showed up with the new boiler and assisted us in bringing the new unit downstairs and in place. Supplied a new Peerless natural gas four section boiler. Roughed in all accessories such as a new supply line with air scoop , air vent, extrol 30 expansion tank. A new return with circulator, boiler drain, service valve. New exhaust with damper. Replumbed the gas line. Performed all the necessary wiring to the controls, damper, thermostat, circulator, low water cut off. Applied hydraulic cement around the chimney breach for a seal tight joint. Filled the boiler with water. Checked for leaks and purged the heating zones. Finally we fired up the boiler and observed it while it rea

Met with Kristen and Joe and asked if there were any issues. Kristen responded that there were none. Showed us downstairs and began the inspection tuneup process. We quick noticed several issues with the boiler. 1. A leak coming out of the heat exchanger. The burners rusted out from the constant leak. The gas valve out of adjustment with the gas pressure. The pilot assembly engulfed in the flames, rusted and in need on replacement with the need of a combustion test to be performed. Conclusion is no repairs are recommended. The boiler should be replaced. Worked up several options and presented them to the customers. Customers decided for the replacement of the boiler. Customers placed $6000. Deposit for the work and the final 50% upon completion of the service.

I arrived at the customer house, she told me that one of her grills makes a sound, I proceeded to turn on the unit and I heard one of the return grill make a sounds when it is pulling air, but I explained Tonja that the sound is normal because the return grill is near to the duct line, it is only 10 inch away between the duct line. Tanja is happy with the explanation and the unit works good.

We furnished and installed a new slop sink, complete with a new drain, domestic hot and cold lines, and angle stops in the basement. Furnished and installed new ball valves on the hot supply to the house, the backyard spigot, and the washer supply. We had to call highland falls water department to turn off the curb stop at the street. We replaced a portion of rotten 1/2” copper piping and the boiler drain adjacent to the water meter. Upon dismantling the main supply to the house, we noticed and replaced the main gate valve to the house. The customer agreed to pay $1200.00 additional for the add-on.

Sink is need of repair asap because when it fell it applied to much pressure to the pipes connecting to faucet. Estimate has been written up for repair and waiting for customer to confirm appointment. Everything else in house plumbing related was very good condition.
