Greeted Mr Ward at the entrance of the home, he invited me in and showed me to the basement were the boiler was located. I cut off the oil supply and proceeded with the tuneup. I replaced the oil tank filter and the fuel pump strainer. I opened up the combustion chamber and removed the gun assembly, I replaced the nozzle with a 85/80B, I reassembled the gun assembly and closed the unit. Finally I connected the bleeder hose and bled the oils lines. Customer is happy with service.

Greeted tenant and proceeded to perform a PTU on a gas fired furnace. Opened up the cabinet, checked and inspected the following: electrical wiring with connections, inducer fan assembly, pressure switches, hoses, rollout, flame sensor, spill switch, gas valve, etc. etc. Restored power to the furnace and turned it on. I observed the furnace light off, run, cycle and reach temperature. All is good at this time. The furnace could use several preventative services. 2nd service requested; unable to perform the service, due to the fact that the owner was not present to open the door which is under lock and key.

Greeted Billy, and proceeded to perform a PTU on a Peerless oil fired steam boiler. I replaced the oil tank filter along with the oil pump strainer. I removed the gun assembly, degreased, scrubbed and cleaned. I replaced the nozzle with a 70/75A. Checked and inspected the electrodes, made adjustments. I reassembled the gun assembly, restored power, fired up the boiler, and bled the oil lines. I observed the boiler run, cycle and reach temperature. As a second service, I checked and inspected the hot water heater. I connected the hose and flushed the sediment, filled the heater and restored power. Flushed the faucets. Both jobs completed. Customers were very happy with the service.

Received a emergency service call regarding water running in the basement. When I arrived, I met with Leslie, Dee, and Mack. Owners were very irate. Tried to calm them down and to allow me to make the repairs. Went into the basement to access the issue. Found a faulty union connecting to the water feeder that was newly installed to the boiler. Setup the repair, and replaced the union and gasket. Turned the water back on and checked for leaks. No more leaks. Customers complained once again about all the water in the basement. I setup the shop vac and began sucking up all the water out of the basement. Basement was left bone dry. Took pictures to document all of the step taken.

Cut out and removed an old hydrotherm natural gas boiler. Supplied and installed a new natural gas 4 section Peerless boiler. Roughed in and installed a new spiral vent with extrol tank and service valve. Roughed in a new circulator with a return service valve. Wired in the controls and thermostat. Re- roughed the gas line. Filled up the boiler and checked for leaks. Purged all the water lines and heating zones. Fired up the boiler and allowed it to reach temperature. Everything is running as it should. Bled the old cast iron radiators. Paid in full.

Arrived at customers house for a call stating dehumidifier in Bradford white water heater not working. UPon further investigation found that the heat pump option for the water heater is not working. The system switches to the electrical only setting which most likely means either the circuit board is fried or heat pump itself is gone. Stated to customer her warranty expired September 2020 from Bradford white and unit was put in in 2014. Customer decided to go with a new water heater and furnace today and sold everything to synchrony. Customer was satisfied and helped her fill out synchrony sale slips and such forth.

Greeted Leslie and Mack, asked if they had any issues. Leslie took us to the basement and we began the inspection process. The first Peerless unit was started and we observed it cycle until it reach temperature. Inspected all the wiring along with the pipes and fittings. All is in excellent shape. We moved on to the second unit which was a very dated Hydrotherm unit. At face value the unit appeared very rough. Several items were cut off and disconnected. A lot of decay throughout the unit is very evident. Fired up the boiler and quickly noticed severe flame roll out coming out of the burner chamber. The unit is also in need of a burner service as to it is visually evident the combustion is compromised. The flames were yellow and orange. A clear indication of a red flag. Based on all the information gathered it is strongly recommended that no repairs be done to this unit. A new boiler should be installed! Worked up several options for the customers consideration. Had a FaceTime conversa

Met with customer and quickly informed him of the trip fee and diagnostic charges due. Customer paid me $505. In cash. I explained that their would be additional charges if I found anything wrong. Spent a few minutes going over the unit. Light the unit and it stayed on. Observed the operation for several minutes and all seemed okay. Came back into the home to explain to the customer that there was an additional charge for lighting the unit, and he became very irate. After explaining things several times he opted to call the office and speak with management.
