Isaac was a very nice polite young man! It was a pleasure having him service our unit!
Jake Kring. April 14 2023. I arrived for a previous customer no cool call. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that the system has leaked its refrigerant out again. We discussed the last visits and found that we had to put 8 pounds of refrigerant in the system on out last visit. We also found that Isaac had preformed a leak search in August 9 2020 and found the king valves to be leaking at that time. The homeowner wanted a up to date cost of replacing the king valves and adding what refrigerant is needed to get the system running. This system is 15 years old and i explained to the homeowners that I can replace or bypass the king valves but I would need to do another leak search to confirm that there are no more leaks in the system. I do not feel comfortable preforming a expensive repair on this system without permission preforming a leak search on the indoor system. The homeowner agreed for me to inspect the indoor system. I found the system to have undersized duct work on this
Sam J - arrived to Silver club member for fall tune up on horizontal furnace in attic. Spoke with customer and he explained there were not any cold spots in the house and thermostat is operating properly. System was running and thermostat was reading 69 when I arrived. Cycled thermostat off and began servicing system. Replaced (2) 20X25 and (1) 20X20 air filters in grilles. Removed coil cover to inspect heat exchanger and coil. Coil is clean but is rusting and shows signs of its age. Heat exchanger is free of any cracks or rust. Checked capacitor on blower motor which is good. Cycled system on from thermostat and watched for proper ignition. Then I checked amperage of inducer motor then blower motor once it cycled on. Ducts connected and insulated well, return clean of any trash or debris. Checked temperature difference at grilles, which was 45 degrees. Thermostat satisfied after several minutes after service was complete. Spoke with customer and informed him of the syst
Arrived at the home due to the system is not heating correctly. Arrived at the home and started looking at the system. The customer stated the system and home had been sitting unoccupied for 2 years. Started looking at the system and noticed mice had chewed up multiple wires so new thermostat wire would have to be ran. Also noticed blower wheel was completely caked with debris and also acorns. The transformer was also blown and will need to be replaced before any further repairs can happen. I spoke with the customer about getting a senior technician out to go over options before we start putting money towards repair due to the condition and overall shape of the system.
29NOV2022 Jason B Arrived for fall tune up, spoke with Darrell about how the systems are doing. All good just getting our annual checkup. Replaced 20x25 filter on pack unit, cycled system into heating. Inspected blower heat strips, sequencers, Evap coil, and all electrical connections/ components. Blower 2.53a Cap 12.2/12.5 Heat strips ~20a Disconnect power to hp. Inspect capacitor, contactor, and all electrical components. Restore power and test rev valve and df timer. Cycle Heatpump in all stages. 44/44mfd 5/5 mfd cap Open ah disconnect power test fan balance and run cap. Cycle system In all stages. Verify amps and heat strips. Leave 20x30 filter with homeowner. Cycle system at thermostat. Inspect vents. Blower 2.5a No capacitor. Heat strips ~20a Both systems are working properly at this time.
Came out to call for a customer needing a system checked out in a home that belonged to his brother. His brother passed and he had no idea if the system works or not. I checked the system over and found the furnace shut off and the gas turned off. Customer confirmed that the home had propane. I turned the gas on and lit the pilot light. Tried to turn thermostat on, but it wasn’t operating properly. Discussed with customer about repair needed in order to get the system working properly. Customer approved replacement of the thermostat. I changed out the thermostat and made sure wiring was correct. Doublewide has no AC unit. Customer is aware of that and they will look into the possibility of getting a new one installed once they have everything figured out. After installation of thermostat, I turned furnace on and checked operation. Furnace cycled on and off just fine. Heat is operational.
I arrived for a silver membership summer tune up. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the systems are running to their expectations. I first cleaned all condensers and checked the systems operation and electrical readings. I found the capacitor to be weak with a dead frog on top of the capacitor. This can cause the capacitor to weaken and fail. I also found the contactor to be pitted and blackened. I made this aware to the homeowner and we decided to leave the system as it is.
We arrived for a recall on a system we recently inspected. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system they were having trouble with is working properly. I also found we had our previous technician work on both systems and replace both capacitors on both condensers. We cleaned both condensers and checked the systems refrigerant charge and electrical components. We talked about how our previous technician was not very clear on what he worked on. I apologize for the workmanship that our last technician provided and I assure you it will not happen again. We mounted both capacitors correctly and we agreed to pat what our last technician started for the warranty capacitor.
8-18-22 will p. Greeted customer asked what issues they were having. Customer stated that the up stairs unit was not running. I had no power at the outside unit. Flipped breaker on at system. System currently operating without powe
Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the system wasn’t cooling properly and wasn’t blowing hard enough inside. I checked system over and found the AC unit operational, but the blower speed set too low and the blower wheel completely caked in debris. This is not allowing the blower to operate efficiently. I also found the blower capacitor to be depleted, and falling apart. Let customer know what I found and the repair and cleaning needed. Customer approved cleaning and repair after discussing pricing. Took blower assembly out and disassembled it. Cleaned all parts thoroughly and put it back together. Replaced the capacitor and reinstalled blower assembly. Wired blower motor to med high on the relay. Cycled system back on to recheck operation. System is now cooling the best it can given the age and condition of the system.
8-12-22 will. Greeted customer ask if he was having any issues with his unit. He said the fan would not spin after further investigation found that the fan motor was locked up. Replaced fan motor. Check refrigerant in system it was completely empty are 22 customer wanted me to just fill it up. I charge system 6 pounds of our 22 customer is aware that he has a leak and customer is also aware that his compressor is running high amps and may go out. Customer wants senior tech out to discuss replacement.
Ray F. 7/1/22. Arrived to non member ac tune up x2 and the customer met me at the front door. I introduced myself and asked how his air conditioners have been working. He stated they are all working good since we were out to add refrigerant to one of the systems recently. Previous work order says there is a leak at the king valve on one of the condensers. Customer states he is changing the air filters tomorrow. He showed me where the equipment was located and I proceeded to check all three evaporator coils and blower motors. Attic insulation is sufficient. Ductwork is strapped and in good condition. Blower motors, wheels and housings are clean. Evaporator coils are clean. Blower motor amps are normal and blower wheels are in balanced. Wiring in good condition. Condensate drain lines are clear. Return and supply temps good. Inspected condensers. Refrigerant levels are normal. Compressor and condenser fan motor amps are ok. Contactors, wiring and disconnect in good conditio
No cool upstairs. Found system very low on R-410A. Added 8lbs R-410A with homeowner approval. System is now operating normally. Homeowner is aware of suction line service valve leaking and cost to repair.
