Giving an estimate to install 8 units. A 12.5 ton AC unit in the front of the building, two 15 tons installed in the main grow room and five 10 ton systems.
On August 16, 2021 I arrive to a silver club member for a spring tuneup upon arrival I greeted the customer then went to the thermostat to check thermostat operations I then went to the furnace did amp drawâ€˜s on the blower motor a check to capacitor 10 ÂµF Readington micro ferret I took a peek at the evaporator coil it was clean just had rust on it checked the drain and blew it out thatâ€™s good I then went to the condensing unit to check the capacitor 80 Dash five reading 80 Dash five Did amp drawâ€™s on the compressor and condenser fan motor both are good flip the condenser fan motor checked it out check the bearings it is good to go check the charge unit had 5Â° of superheat I didnâ€™t wash the condensing unit and put the disconnect back in tested system operations everything is working properly at this time thank you for your business Mike T
On July 20, 2021 I arrive to a previous customer nonmember upon arrival I greeted the customer and had them show me around to all three thermostats as well as the furnaces and the AC units I then went to all three furnace units and did amp draws check the drains blue drains out after that I went to the condensing units I check the charge on all three of themTo condensing units by the garage door needed a combined amount of 5 pounds of 410 a customer just wanted to get them going theyâ€™ve got family coming in and didnâ€™t wanna do anything but charge them up the third unit I checked all components checked charge everything is good there just at all system operations everythingâ€™s working properly at this time thank you for your business Mike T
On June 24, 2021 I arrive to a previous customer nonmember upon arrival I greeted the customer then went to the Thermostat to check thermostat operations are they went to the attic to the furnace did amp draws check the blower I then went to the condenser the check to charge had 10Â° superheat there is a piston in the coil capacitors and contactors both are good did amp drawls disassembled washed reassembled the unit tested system operations everythingâ€˜s working properly at this time thank you for your business Mike T
Arrived on 15 April to conduct to a C PMs found that one is extremely old and dirty customer does not want to do anything with it clean condensers check capacitors and contactors everything checked out with that area changed filters everythingâ€™s running well.
Gave estimate to replace 3 Ton AC and Exposed Coil on Trailer home. Customer wants to move forward with the installation.
Came out to call to address issue with upstairs thermostat. Customer stated the thermostat was not operating properly, even after changing the batteries. Found the R terminal on thermostat not allowing power into the thermostat. Jumpered wires to ensure there were no issues with the wiring. Discussed with customer about replacing thermostat, and went over options. Customer wanted to replace both the upstairs and downstairs thermostats with the Honeywell T6 programmable. Took old thermostats off the wall and installed the new ones. Set up thermostats according to equipment and operations. After I set the thermostats up, I went over programming with customer and set up program for them. Showed customer how to operate the thermostats and also tested all functions to make sure equipment was operating properly. Discussed with customer about maintenance plans for the units and the benefits of having them on a routine to decrease breakdowns and keep them running efficiently.
I arrived for a non member no heat call. I first inspected the system and found that the blower motor was overheating and leaking oil. I also found the capacitor to be completely depleted. I let the system cool off and cycled the system back on with a new capacitor. The motor came on and the system is heating normally. We did not have the proper motor brackets to mount a new motor. I told the homeowner that if the motor fails within 30 days we will replace the blower motor on the package unit and subtract the $221.85 capacitor replacement from the blower motor cost. This will also have no diagnostic cost to install this same blower motor. The homeowner signed up on a white and blue club plan. The package unit is on the white club plan but it does not have any duct on this system. The main system to the home is one we installed and we and we are going to use the free duct cleaning from the white plan to cover the duct cleaning on the split system we installed.
Black Friday furnace tune up special, customer gets a free Summer tune up with todayâ€™s furnace tune up. Spoke with customer and at this time, the summer tune up is scheduled for June 24, 2021. Asked about filters and changed customer supplied 14x24 and 16x25 filters and customer purchased a 14x14 filter from us. Asked how home has been heating and cooling and it is doing well. Went in attic and checked ductwork, flue and insulation. Attic insulation from where I can see looks to be a bit low, but home is being renovated. Ductwork is hanging a little loose , but is connected well. Checked furnace blower, blower capacitor, inducer and burners. Blower capacitor is reading low but still in range at 4.8 / 5.0 mfd. Cleaned flame sensor. Adjusted and reset loose wiring and hoses. Checked drain line and plenums. Cycled system on heat and adjusted gas pressure, it was set to 5.7 - adjusted to 3.54 w.c. Replaced gas caps. Checked amps and electrical. Measured heat rise and delta t. System is h
Remove 8 from kitchen install 8,66 wye. Run 10 inch return from master area. Run 10,8,8 wye to same area 6â€ register and boot + trip
Came out to call. Customer stated AC wasnâ€™t keeping up lately on hot days and it started to freeze up constantly. Customer thought that there could possibly be a leak. I checked system over and found the AC low on refrigerant. I discussed with customer about what I found and talked about options. Customer wanted me to go ahead and do a leak search on the system. As I was about to pump the AC down. I found a significant leak at the suction line king valve. It had a lot of pressure built up and was bubbling when I took the cap off. I went back to discussing different options with customer. Went over repair vs replace. Customer wants an estimate for both and also wants to know if the part is available tomorrow. Told customer I would check on availability.
Performed 79 non club tune up. Changed customer supplied filters. Washed condenser. Test all capacitor and motor amp draw. Test compressor amp draw. All amp draw in range. Refrigerant levels are in range. System is cooling at this time. Gave estimate to install ductwork to back addon and estimate for minisplit. Customer will think this over and call back.
I came out for a no cool and condensate leak. I checked the system over and found the system not running because the emergency pan was full, which tripped the float switch. There is a PVC tee on the drain line before the P-trap, which didnâ€™t have a cap on it. The P-trap was clogged and it overflowed out the top of the tee and onto the decking and down into the kitchen ceiling. With approval, I cut the clogged P-trap out, installed a new P-trap and shortened the drop on the drain so it has proper fall along the entire drain line. I also vacuumed out the emergency pan. I cycled the system and checked all operations. All working properly. The decking and some insulation is saturated, so there still may be some condensation dripping from the ceiling until it fully dries.
I came out for a no cool on the upstairs system. I checked the system over. I found the blower motor not operating. He had a power surge the other day and the system hasnâ€™t worked right since. The blower motor/module has failed. Iâ€™ll need to call a Carrier to get a price and availability of the motor/module and call back with a price. And a price to replace the Air Handler as well. Gave estimate to replace trailer system. Unable to get customer financed at this time. Customer will explore options and call back.
