Air Temp package heat pump. whole house system. at arrival, found that the transformer inside the unit was shorted and failed. replaced the transformer and tested and immediately blew a low voltage fuse. traced issue down to a shorted contactor for the heat strips. replaced the contactor and tested. system. is now running. and heating properly
returned and added refrigerant and leak sealant to the system. tested the operation and system is now at rated manufacturer levels and is cooling very well.
Trane split heat pump, 2 zone system. tested system at arrival and found it slightly low on refrigerant. system will cool ok during lower temps, but as it gets warmer outside, unit will struggle to cool effectively. performed a leak search and found that the evaporator coil is leaking. quoted customer 3 options: to add refrigerant and sealant, replace the evaporator coil, or replace the entire system. customer would like to think over the options.
Upstairs Goodman heat pump split. Outdoor unit was coming in duentona clogged drain line that has caused water to overflow from the air handler and fill drain pan. This shut off the water safety switch. Cleared the drain line and removed the water. Outdoor unit is now running. Tested an the system is now running and cooling.

Out on a no cool service call for the customers two zone, Trane heat pump.
No cool service call for the customers Rheem system. Replaced a capacitor that had failed.
Customer noted that the duct has a smell coming from the downstairs when the heat is on. At arrival, I attempted to go into crawlspace to check the air handler and duct. The crawlspace has multiple items that are blocking the access to the system. I am unable to perform any inspection at this time. The items in the crawlspace will have to be removed or moved so that we can gain full access to the system and the duct work.
