Old Oil furnace, system is located in a closet. found a flue pipe rusted out, tech found no voltage going to the W(heat) call from the thermostat, switched from heat to off multiple times from the mercury style thermostat and system intermittently started up heat. Diagnosed a bad thermostat along with a 2 relays, at the oil furnace. Duct work is missing insulation on some branch lines. Due to the flue pipe being rusted out and potential high repair costs, a field supervisor was requested to provide a solution to the homeowner. AC condenser is 20+ years old. Tech found system standing pressures was 71 once system turned on suction drop to 30 psi and low pressure switch cut unit off. Tech informed customer of findings and educated on next steps were to perform leak search and find location of leak. Customer agreed tech found evaporator coil leaking. Tech spoke with office and found warranty had gave out in October of of 2021. Tech informed customer of findings and informed them of potential damages to the compressor due to low refrigerant and moisture. Tech called in a mandatory to give best solution to customer. Tech collected for today’s visit via check.
Upon arrival tech found compressor not running at condensing unit, compressor was in an internal overload. Tech cooled compressor and started system. Tech monitored refrigerant pressures and found suction pressure immediately dropping into the negative. Pressures stayed the same in heat and cool mode. Tech suspects restriction in system. Tech informed customer, customer is going to call company that installed system to come out and make repairs as system is under warranty. Tech collected $87.00 plus tax by card per house call fee.
FOUND SYSTEM RUNNING PROPERLY IN BOTH HEATING/COOLING UPONA ARRIVAL. FURTHER INSPECTED FOUND STANDING WATER INSIDE SECONDARY FLOAT SWITCH DUE TO CLOGGED DRAIN LINE. Customer reports master bedroom being too cold in the winter time. Also reports house is 68 or 69 degrees when set on 66 on 100 degree days. Tech uploaded pictures of entire duct system. Duct is all intact and no insulation is missing. It is almost fully sheet metal and may be original to older house. Tech found no supply or return air leakage or missing insulation. Bedroom that is too cold is fed from the smaller of the two supply trunks exiting furnace supply side. The smaller branch travels 270 degrees behind and to the side of the furnace. Supply temperatures from the two bedroom vents are 129 and 127 degrees. Bedroom across the hall is 134. Living room is 135. Tech recommends improving attic insulation and focusing insulation on the corner of attic above master bedroom. We can also provide a free quote on duct redesign and replacement or adding a mini split to master bedroom. No housecall per Premium agreement. Uploaded pictures.

Found a failed dual run 40/5 capacitor. Tech received approval for the repairs over the phone by Ms.Phillips. Tech educated the homeowner about ESA(maintenance) but would like to wait on that for now. System is back up cooling. Jtdooley2002@yahoo.com
JACOB AND JUAN REPLACED A GOODMAN SPLIT HEAT PUMP IN THE OFFICE
Found the ceiling destroyed by the HVAC drain. Drain pan is full of water, primary drain was extremely clogged. Existing Safety switch was not installed properly at the drain pan and was acting faulty. Costumer approved pumping out water of the drain, unclogging the primary drain line, replacing an overflow drain pan switch and invested in PSA yearly for 2 visits. Exiting equipment was installed by another individual. Found metal duct branch line slightly open, costumer approved connecting it back in place. Tested the drain line 3 times and aux safety switch as well. Drain pan is free of water and draining properly at this time. Damages to the ceiling was not caused by us. Building with the (lost and found box in the front porch). Found an inflated failed turbo capacitor. 2011 system. Hard start kit was installed by someone to help the compressor start up. System needs to operate to fully test out the performance on the system. Due to age and already having to add a hard start kit to the system to help it run a bit longer, system replacement is recommended. Tech spoke with Sammy and wants chris Sasser to give him a quote on system replacement due to the expensive repairs. Costumer approved paying the house call fee with the card on file. Tech preformed esa maintenance per energy savings agreement tech found water inside unit touching wires tech then saw drain line backed up tech cleared it out as well the water inside unit system is heating and cooling properly at this time. Homeowner wants to renew esa for $265.81 but not home tech billed out homeowner per office.
Tech can hear a whistling noise coming from outside of unit that sounds like an air gap. Tech removed coil compartment door and completely resealed Amd whistling noise is still present. Tech was able to shove a paper towel through gap underneath equipment gap and noise will start to buffer. Bottom of equipment is completely rusted out due to previous drainage issues. Tech believes bottom of equipment is cracked. tech silicone around gap underneath equipment and noise has dissipated for the most part. Highly recommend replacement of equipment. Tech is unable to get up with customer regarding findings
