Thank you for the help!

My technician was professional & clear on the steps taken to get my HVAC back to 100 percent. He wore a mask in my facility and respected when I was with a client. He communicated well with me. He understood that exercising in the heat was not an option. He worked with my schedule. Great job Nick Hursh! Thank you! Amy Smith, Owner

Customer stated that furnace was not coming on. Cycled system in heat and found code 3 “Pressure switch stuck open. Inspected inducer and flue assembly for obstructions, inspected pressure switch and tubing. Existing switch was universal improperly set. Replaced with OEM switch with same result. Tested new switch. Tested draft inducer with manometer and found inducer not pulling adequate draft. Further inspection found cracked heat exchanger. Provided estimates for system replacement.

Found the pressure switch was closed when inducer motor was not running. Through further investigation found the pressure switch was full of water due to the drain on the air conditioning was plugged cause the drain pan of air conditioning to overflow on top of the burner box of the furnace. Water then filled burner box and drained through pressure switch tubing down into pressure switch. Flushed drain line with nitrogen, recommended customer also replace pressure switch due to having filled with water and not being able to guarantee properly consistent operation of pressure switch. Customer choose to wait on replacing the pressure switch at this time. Informed customer that since he was choosing to wait to replace the pressure switch at this time if we had to come back on a later date to replace it that he would have to pay another service call charge. Customer agreed and understood this. System is operational at this time.

Customer stated that furnace was making a loud grinding noise. I cycled system in heat and found inducer motor fan blade making contact with assembly housing during ignition sequence. Adjusted mounting plate which corrected the issue. If inducer fan continues to slip and make contact with housing, inducer assembly will need to be replaced. Provided estimate for repair. Performed clean and check on gas furnace, cycled system in medium and high heat stages, conducted combustion analysis, measured temperature rise, inspected burner assembly, cleaned flame sensor and condensate trap, tested and inspected all electrical components and blower motor assembly, tested t-stat operations, changed filter and humidifier pad that customer provided. Everything is otherwise operating normally at this time. Customer paid cash.

Attempted to start the pool heater however the gas valve did not engage insured that gas valve was on inspected pilot assembly for any blockage found minor blockage but determined it was unlikely the root cause of the issue inspected wiring and found the multi wire connection on the control board was loose and all weld joints at the board had come apart causing voltage to be dropped before reaching the gas valve to engage gathered unit info on system.
