Exemplary HVAC Work from Mark

Mark is a truly experienced technician who assisted in assessing my HVAC unit and system. He successfully helped replace vital components to ensure an efficiently cooling system for the summer with freon addition and a capacitor replacement. He had all tools and parts/equipment needed with him to fulfill all needs for my unit. I cannot recommend Mark and Loving Air enough for those looking for quality HVAC work.

Long overdue HVAC maintenance inspection

New owners of 8 yr old home and we wanted HVAC system inspected. As expected, system had not been regularly inspected. Chris (of Loving Air) came out and did an excellent & thorough inspection. He was professional, personable and knowledgeable and kept us informed during the inspection.

S Greeted customer at front door and informed him on what I am doing today for the maintenance today. He showed me the location of the units and thermostat. Preformed maintenance inspection on heat pump system. Checked indoor coil and found it to be clean. Preformed leak search on coil and didn't find any leaks at this time. Checked blower motor wheel and found it to be clean. Checked blower motor amp draw and found it to meet manufacturer set points. Checked outdoor coil and cleaned it with water to meet membership. Didn't find any signs of leaks at this time. Checked outdoor capacitor and it failed my inspection. Checked outdoor fan motor and compressor amp draws and found them to meet manufacturer set points. Checked pressures with gauges and found them to be low. Informed tye customer of my findings and gave him options for the repairs. He went with the 5 year warranty on the capacitor. All wiring is tight and in good condition. I flushed the drains and tested water safeties. No refrigerant leaks found at this time. All motor amps are in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The refrigerant pressures are in correct range per manufacturer specifications. The ground around the outdoor units is dirt. When it rains it makes the coils dirty. I prepared an option to place pea gravel around the units to keep them cleaner. I completed our check sheets for the systems. Upon arrival customer showed location of thermostat and basement furnace. Found the coil clean free ofd debris no leaks detected at this time capacitor in correct range. Drain is operating properly at this time ductwork is clean free of debri. When going to the outdoor unit found coil clean free. Capacitor did fail on compressor side customer declined options at this time. System charge was in the correct range returned system to normal operation.

Upon arrival customer showed location of thermostats and systems. Found both indoor units clean free of debris at this time no leaks detected on the coils. Drainlines and safety operating properly at this time. There are no surge protectors on the indoor units. Outdoor units had some debris which rinsed clean. Electrical connections are clean tight and secure surge protectors operating properly at this time. System pressures are both within manufacturer specifications at this time. Did notice in basement water inside pressure gauge of water heater also wood paneling above was damp and black along the center. Customer declined options at this time to discuss with her husband.

During my inspection today, the customer greeted me at the front door. They allowed me to come inside and they showed me around to all the equipment. They showed me the air filter(s). It was a 16x16,18x18. They then showed me the thermostat. It was a Honeywell Nonprogrammable. They then showed me the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. I got started by turning the system off at the thermostat and made my way to the air handler. I inspected multiple different components on the system, including the blower wheel/motor, evaporator coil, drain line (flushed drain line with a gallon of hot water and white vinegar), ductwork, electrical connections/components, etc. I checked all of these components for proper operation and cleanliness. As well as to make sure that nothing was damaged. I made my way to the outdoor unit. On the outdoor unit I inspected multiple different components as well, including electrical connections/components, Condenser fan motor, Compressor, Motor amp draws, Refrige

Arrived at customers residence and was greeted by the customer and was led to the thermostat end it is functioning properly at this time. Customer led me to basement where furnace coil is located began to leak search evaporator coil and And no true evidence of coil leaking at this time. After Leak searching, proceeded to look at outdoor unit and found that system had been overcharged With refrigerant for 410 a refrigerant approximately 2 pounds overcharged. Also found 45 over five capacitor, extremely weak at this time. Also Due to overcharge pressures were extremely high compressor went out on lock Rotor amps. Used customers garden hose to cool down compressor. Remove charge and system is functioning properly at this time. Inform customer that everything is functioning properly at this time. Upon departure thermostat has been set to original customer preference in cool mode. Regular Membership for one system billed monthly.
