arrived at customers, location signed ourselves in the beginning, getting set up for compressor replacement. Recovered all refrigerant from the system into the recovery cylinder. Removed failed compressor and filter drier along with compressor plug and dots sensor. Installed new compressor and filter drier. Pressurized system for leaks and held 275psi for 30min. Pulled system into a deep vacuum and let sit in vacuum while installing other new components. New compressor required 80/5/440 cap replaced with truck stock and added to invoice. Weighed factory charge in the system and turned system on in cooling mode. Set refrigerant charge to manufacturer specifications 105/274 sh16 sc17. Confirmed drain was clear and returned system to service

Upon arrival checked filters. Spoke with customer and explained what I would be doing today and that I would need to see each vent today. Thermostat is clean, April air stat, and it is level. Turned system on heat to 76°. Went into basement to evaluate the indoor unit. The coil is clean, along with the blower and found no leaks coming from the coil. Wires are all tight. Cleaned ez trap. Heat strips amped within specs. Blower amped at .6amps. Duct is clean and tight. All low voltage wires are tight. 131° air temp coming out of vents, 72° entering. Went outside and evaluated the unit. Coil is clean. Wires low voltage and high are all tight with no burn marks or broken. Contacter is working well, no burn marks. Capacitor is 45/5 and is a 45/5 mfd capacitor. Fan motor amped at 1.1amps and showing no signs of oil leakage at this time. Compressor amped at 5.3amps. Refrigerant levels where found at 128/371. Let system run awhile, and system is working well at this time. System is set fo

Carrier heat pump system just inside of the office when you first enter. I found the blower motor and module shorted causing the system to freeze. The fuse mount in the airhandler is saturated. It needs new 60 amp fuses as they are cracking. The mount needs dried off. Recommend replacing the mount and fuses. The evaporator and condenser coils are dirty. I completed a complimentary refrigerant leak search on the system. I found a refrigerant leak in the suction service valve. The compressor meghommed green (good). The 1 pole contactor is pitted. The 60+5 capacitor is weak at 55. The system is low on r410a refrigerant. I called carrier for price and availability on the parts needed for the repairs. The repair quote will be sent for review.

Upon inspection found first chiller with a water leak from Y brass fitting on the supply side. This fitting needs to be replace. On the second chiller found system flat completely out of refrigerant R410A A leak search with nitrogen boost is need to find leak. Also we will need 9 pounds of R410A to be able to fill system per manufacturer specs. Both chillers are off at this time , this is the way I found them upon arrival.

Chiller inspection. Inspected the outdoor chiller. Found the three pole contactor pitted. Recommend replacing. The condenser coil is dirty. Recommend cleaning. Repaired the one wire at the compressor that was melted and missing the jacket. Ohmed the compressor came back in the green, the pipes are broken. They said they will repair them. Checked all the fuses in the system. All are good. Pushed the contactor in to test operation. The chiller inside is completely empty of refrigerant and there’s water in the line set. The office is making an appointment for Shane and Ryan to return to go over repiping for the system.
