9/14/22: Met with Garett, the owner, and asked for his opinion on a new HVAC system for 1901 sq ft single story house. I did not want a low-end model and asked his opinion about the high-end model. I also wanted one where the technology has been around a while and is very reliable. Garett said I would like the model between the low-end and high-end. I purchased the system he recommended. My old A/C was installed in 2003 by this same company and it served me well. Note: Garett said it is better to get a new HVAC system while the old one is still working. Meaning, you will be avoiding lots of undue stress caused when the old A/C goes out. 10/17/22 to 10/18/22: Andreas & Mark came out to install the new system. They were very friendly, informative, experienced installers. They paid attention to details and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. (I have an engineering mind and ask many questions) They disassembled the old furnace so it could be removed from the attic (the access to the attic was smaller than the old furnace). The new HVAC system works great. Went through a heat wave and through 45 degrees winter spells already. I am really impressed with the 2-stage system. It is very quiet and energy efficient. Don't even notice when it goes on. AC Pro Energy Star 3 ton 2 stage 16 SEER air conditioning with two stage veriable speed furnace and matching coil system. Furnace model: A80US2V070A12L-04 Air Conditioner model: 4SCU16LS136P-3 Indoor Coil model: PL36H145P44935 Comment: I saw signs of mold in the old Indoor Coil when it was removed and inquired how to prevent that from happening on the new system. Mark said there are a few systems that deals with mold. I then bought the one that their supervisor said was the better one: iWave-R Air Purifier. Mark installed it that same day. 11/18/22: At my request, Garett came out to hook up extra features that the Nest thermostat provides, it required more wires going to the thermostat then was provided by the old thermostat. Originally, I was to get a Honeywell thermostat, but they threw in a Nest 3rd gen thermostat. Ty came out to do a check up on our air conditioner and he was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He showed us that our fan was set to run all the time and we didn’t want that, so he showed us how to set it for a different setting.

Ran cable down master tub drain. Pulled back hair from tub drain. Ran water to test. Shower drains fine. Flushed out garbage disposal. Ran water to test garbage disposal. Disposal works fine for now. Cleaned up work area.
Install a new rebuild kit for the urinal. The. Urinal would keep running due to gasket( seal) being worn out. Installed a new kit and vacuum breaker. As well as new gasket on the tailpiece of the valve. Flushed urinal several times and confirmed it was working properly.
Hot surface ignition failed. Replaced hot surface igniter and tested the system. Programming for the nest thermostat was also set for electric heat and not gas. Adjusted thermostat programming and tested the system. System functions now.
Performed the annual heating maintenance, system is running within specifications and has no issues at this point.
Replace with new pump and piping. Used type L copper. New pump and one way check valve. 1 year parts and labor warranty. Copper 90 and piping in between the pump and check valve under warranty. Anything outside of those parts were not touched and no warranty.
Return when the temperatures indoor and outdoor are warmer to perform a maintenance/system check.
Wet switch was activated on the east side system disabling the connection to the thermostat. Upon inspection I noticed extremely dirty filters and a very weak motor run cap. Replaced filters and run cap. Tested the system and it is now functioning. Service Carlsbad.
Upon arrival no leak occurred. Attempted to create a leak by turning on water and turning off recirculating pump. No leaks occurred. Call us when u see the origin of the leak.
Removed the wet spot drywall in tv room ceiling. Found the abs drain line for master tub. Had client turn on water to see where leak was coming from. The leak occurred further up in bathroom area, not accessible from below. Further removal of tub tile to attempt to get access to it and find the leak. Found the abs below to be intact and no cracks at time. We can attempt to removal tile but do not know what’s behind it, possibly tub removal. Hard to say at this time.
Replaced thermostat and tested both heating and cooling. System now functions in both modes
Thompson removed air gap discharge hose. Cleaned out discharge hose. Installed hose. Ran water to test. No leaks. Cleaned up work area. Took pictures. Collected payment by credit card. 60 day warranty on discharge hose.
Performed the annual heating maintenance on two systems. Upstairs unit has an over amping gas valve and the thermostat does not function as should. On a call for heat the fan is energized and not the heat. Downstairs unit is functioning and has no issues at this point.
Water noise is coming from Reverse Osmosis system. RO system self flushes and drains into drain pipe under kitchen sink and the sound travels up into the garbage disposal.
Add a condensate pump to help eliminate the smell coming from the bathroom sink
