Client called us out today due to no cooling from one of the systems. Cycled cooling. System is only producing a 2 to 3° split (normal should be 18 to 20°). Inspected condenser, hooked up refrigerant gauges and found pressures to be half of what manufacturers recommend. This would indicate a refrigerant leak somewhere on the coil or line sets. Explained to client what steps need to be taken to find or seal leak. Client has agreed to move forward with UV dye/sealant and recharging system. Follow up schedule 1 1/2 to 2 months from now for leak search. Inspected other system. Filter was extremely dirty, advised changing more regularly. Pressures are within spec.
