Bad fuel solenoid. Replaced and tested. Generator is now working properly. 13.1 hrs.
Generator is 32” from a window. Spoke to customer and told customer I could not service generator until it is moved.
Overspeed fault is being caused by faulty ignition coils. When coil on #1 cylinder is unplugged, generator is started and allowed to run, generator rpm stays at 3600 and does not fault. When coil on cylinder #2 is unplugged and generator is started, the rpm rises above 3600 to above 3800. With both coils plugged up the rpm reaches well over 4400. Will need to order the coils and ground wire and return to make repairs. Unit has P.T.L warranty until 9/2/23. Repairs will be covered under warranty.

Customer called stating power was out, generator was running but failed to repower home. Upon inspection I found the grey wire on the bottom emergency coil was not connected. I reconnected wire and checked all connections in ats. After reconnecting wire, ats transferred to standby and powered home as it should.
Annual service. Generator is working properly.
Generally faulted for “Overcrank”. While inspecting fuel pressure beyond the solenoid, no pressure was observed while cranking, indicating too much fuel pressure. Once I blead off excess pressure from port before the solenoid, generator started without hesitation. Natural gas regulator will need to be replaced to resolve issue. It is allowing pressure past the diaphragm and creating too much pressure for the fuel solenoid to activate.
Air conditioner is within 3 allotted feet of generator
