Occasionally there's a slight electrical burning smell in my garage which I assumed was coming from my 16 year old garage freezer even though it didn’t make sense to me why it only happens sometimes. Accredited Appliance sent Patrick Meier to my house and he wasn’t able to find anything wrong with my freezer; however, he mentioned that, in his experience, the tape on the water heater vent can produce that smell when the tape gets hot and lo and behold, Patrick was right. That’s exactly what it is!!! Words can’t express how impressed I am that Patrick figured it out and now it makes perfect sense why it only happens sometimes. Thank you, Patrick!!!
