My service technician, was not able to correct the issue with my dishwasher.

Angela, Thank you for your review of your recent service. We want to clarify the initial request received when you called in on your dishwasher. The initial issue on the work order request form was the dishwasher was not draining, not level and has odors and heating element does not seem to work. When Greg arrived, you indicated the dishwasher sat in the garage for 9 years and was found to be installed incorrectly. There were screws missing to hold the upper dishwasher into the counter. The feet were also not level and it was very unstable. Greg had a couple shims and placed to help with balancing. He did not find the DW having a mechanical issue. The drain hose was not placed properly either creating back up causing the smell you described. Greg moved the hoses higher so it would flow better and found no malfunction with the drain pump operation and heating water. You asked our technician to remove and reinstall the dishwasher properly, but we do not reinstall appliances that were not installed correctly for liability reasons. We only charged you a service call fee and feel we went above and beyond what the service call fee entails. No labor was charged for being onsite for 40 minutes to correct some of the underlying installation issues. I am sorry you feel we should have done more to correct the issues for an improper installation. Greg mentioned to use vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher for a few cycles. You can also try a product called Affresh and put in the bottom of dishwasher and run a few short cycles to see if that helps with the smell. Please call us back and see if those pointers help.
