Today, I came out to your residence to perform a yearly Peace of Mind electrical checkup. During the visit, I completed a thorough inspection of your home’s electrical system, including the electrical panels, basement area, and each individual room. All receptacles throughout the home were tested, along with existing GFCI (Shock Guard Protection) receptacles and AFCI breakers (Fire Guard Protection), to verify proper operation and overall safety. While your electrical system is generally in good condition, several areas of concern were identified during the evaluation. These included exposed wiring in the basement, a sump pump circuit showing signs of potential overloading, corrosion and rust present within the electrical panel, a non-UL listed breaker installed in the panel, the absence of proper gas line bonding, two missing grounding connections, and no whole-home surge protection in place.
