I just finished upgrading a customer's main electrical service panel. I replaced their outdated 100-amp Federal Pacific panel with a new 200-amp Square D QO load center. This involved safely disconnecting the existing equipment, installing the new panel enclosure, and transferring all branch circuit connections to the upgraded breakers. I also upsized the home's main service conductors to 2/0 AWG aluminum to accommodate the increased ampacity. The customer now has a modern, high-capacity electrical system that meets current safety standards.
