I engaged with Mr Hicks ( Tommy) to trim some branches and remove 3 additional trees. One was leaning and was very dangerous. Tommy was prompt, courteous and very professional. He completed the work efficiently and was very thorough as well as adhering to our list. He cleaned up afterwards and you would never know he was there minus the trees removed. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who is need of a tree professional.

A recent storm sent two large limbs off my pecan tree into my neighbor's backyard, which is rarely good news. Tommy Hicks Tree Service happened to be cutting down a tree across the street and they agreed to give us an estimate. This was after we'd already hyperventilated over the numbers provided by a "shinier" tree removal service. People get all caught up in smooth logos and crisp websites. Me? I want to talk to someone that has actually used a chainsaw on a tree. Bonus points for an estimate that didn't require selling a kidney and DOUBLE BONUS points for his crew working in the pecan tree limb removal, AND some maintenance pruning on my 40+ year old willow oak-- on a FRIDAY afternoon. Hiring them? Best. Decision. Ever. The entire crew worked more efficiently than some machines I've watched, they were done with the whole job in less than 2 hours, and even cleaned off a few chips that had blown into the gutter.
