Hi today I didn't notice any disease or insect damage. I recommend watering the lawn with 1-2 inches of water a week between 5-9 am watering mid day can burn the lawn and at night can cause diseases. Try to do it in 2-3 irrigation cycles per week watering deep and infrequent gets more water into the soil. Weather will become hot and dry as we move into the summer months. If browning occurs in the lawn around this time of year it's most likely disease coming out in the lawn. If it starts in one area and progressively starts to look like it's getting worse, give us a call and we can come take a look. Mowing higher helps to retain moisture, encourages deep root growth, leaves more grass blades for photosynthesis and deters insects, disease and weeds. Take a ruler and measure the length of the blade after a cut. Don't trust the setting on your mower. Be aware that any edging along driveways and sidewalks will cause weeds, so if you choose to edge, be sure you are hitting the grass blades a
Aerated and seeded all perimeters of the premises. However, very steep downward slope towards gate could not be aerated, so I mechanically hand seeded because I did not want to risk potential property damage if my aerator could not be stopped if it were to go down very steep downward slope. I decided to work smarter and avoid that potential scenario, so as an alternative the downward steep slope in the front lawn was mechanically hand seeded for quality assurance. All accessible areas were all aerated and seeded accordingly. I also discovered in certain parts of property, there were many stones inside of very tough thatch. My aerator pulled out many stones while seeding. I also made multiple passes over very bare and rocky thatch for effective growth in the future and also heavily overseeded as well. Water lawn every morning for at least 10 minutes for 21-28 days for best results.
Watering is a must! For best results please maintain watering habits for up to 28 days, this will allow the seed better germination and growth. As for mowing, please hold off for about 10 days. Best to not disturb the process blowing off any seed or tearing them up. Also please dont go over any bare areas to allow fresh new grass to grow. Aeration and seeding will greatly benefit the lawns over all health which will be noticeable gradually with time and as the seasons continue.
