The repair was done in 1/2 hr. Tge rest of the time Neal was on the phone and putzing with the tablet! This made me lat to start work. Neal was at my home from 2:09pm till 4:15pm. This was an easy job and should have only been at my house for 1 hour tops. It cost me extra money as it kept me from going to work earlier.

Ryan and Craig did a thorough winter inspection and testing of my furnace and found the igniter was close to end of its useful life, being 8-10 years old. As part of the Blanton yearly contract I got a 10-15% discount on its replacement. They did have to leave my house to retrieve the part but it took only 5 minutes to replace a part which cost somewhere between 30 and 60$. The replacement would have cost the same if they had had the part on their truck. My cost was 220$. Remember the detection time of the problem was already paid as part of my contract. One more thing. Apparently the Blantons moved their heating and air conditioning part of their business to a new warehouse this winter. This put their winter inspection of furnaces behind such that I had to call to get them out. (I've always had mine inspected end of November-early December which is when it should be done to detect a problem ahead of time. What would have helped is if they had communicated with me that they would be doing their inspections later because of their moving and that if there was an emergency before then they would make the trip to my house free with a reduction in any repair costs.

We called Duane Blanton Plumbing when our water softener died. We expected to have to replace it, and after consulting with Dave Smith we felt very confident selecting a model he presented to us. Dave is very knowledgeable about the benefits of the softener. The installation and haul away went as promised, and we are very happy with our decision!
