Wonderful experience with Quality Service Today

We needed urgent service to help get one of our showers working again before some guests arrived for a long stay. Quality Service Today scheduled us in on the next working day, the two plumbers showed up early in their arrival window, and then spent a long time going over both our requirements for the specific repair as well as other plumbing concerns and questions we had for them. They then went over their estimates in detail with us, making sure that we understood all the options and relative costs before we started work. Finally, they were able to complete the work quickly and cleanly, hitting the lowest estimate we discussed. All in all, a great experience!

After arriving to the home, the homeowner made me aware of a leak coming from her R.O System Faucet. She just replaced the filters to her system last week, however a leak started to occur after the installation. Three lines lead to the base of the faucet which are the filtered water line, air gap line, and the line for drainage. The homeowner had used the shutoff for the faucet to isolate this issue. Once turning the water on to the faucet, water began to leak out the side of the faucet. I checked the drain line and removed build up from the line, however this did not resolve the issue. After giving estimates with upfront pricing to replace the faucet from Whirlpool, the homeowner would like these estimates emailed to discuss with her husband tonight, they would like a follow up call from the office tomorrow. I have waived the dispatch fee.

After arriving to the home, the homeowners made me aware a leak located in the crawlspace. They noticed this a few days ago, and noticed it was coming from the thermal expansion tank. The are aware of the age of the water heater, and they were interested in getting the unit replaced with either a tankless counterpart, or a direct replacement for a similar tanked heater. I checked different utilities throughout the home to ensure that a tankless would be sized properly for the home. The home would need a NPE240A to help maintain hot water across the 3.5 bathrooms. The gas system would need to be upgraded by Dominion from a 1/2psi system to a 2psi system. This would also mean regulation of the gas pressure to each appliance. We would coordinate with an electrician for installation of a GFCI outlet for the tankless. I created estimates for tankless and tanked replacements, at this time the homeowners would like these estimates emailed and they are going to review the estimates tonight, an

Upon arrival to the home I informed the homeowner that I would be performing a 65 point home inspection. I then proceeded to inspect all of the waterlines in the home as well as all of the drains. I also inspected all of the fixtures in the home to make sure that everything was working properly. I then proceeded to flush the water heater for sediment. I noticed that the hose bibs on the home we’re not frost free and therefore I gave the homeowner an option to replace them. Other than that everything seems to be working properly my only concern is for the CPVC waterlines under the home. Given the age of the home the homeowner is not concerned on the integrity of the waterlines at this time.

Upon arrival customer stated he had faulty hose bib he needed replaced. Checked water pressure on home, pressure at safe level of 50 psi. Inspected hose bib and found that the water lines going to hose bib were concealed inside a shelf, making the hose bib connection difficult to access without removing shelf. Hose bib is threaded into a swivel adapter which has a high probability of leaking, would not recommend screwing new hose bib back into swivel adapter. Informed customer that the shelf would have to be removed to properly change out hose bib. Gave customer options on us removing the shelf or him removing the shelf. Customer said he would remove the shelf and call us back whenever he gets it removed to have work done. Collected 49$ dispatch fee.

➖Run toilet auger through toilet Upon arrival to the home the homeowner made me aware that he was having an issue with a clog in the master bathroom toilet. Upon further diagnosis I came to the conclusion that it was indeed a clog in the toilet and not a whole home issue. I then began to give the homeowner upfront pricing and options to get this issue fixed today. The homeowner decided to have me go ahead and do the work to get the issue resolved. I began by running a toilet auger through the clogged toilet until the blockage was cleared. Once I was done I tested the toilet thoroughly to make sure that it was draining properly.

Install new main sewer line from the home to the septic tank Install a clean out at foundation of the home PUMP SEPTIC TANK FOR FREE Upon arrival confirmed with customer work to be completed. After confirming with customer, proceeded to start digging up sewer line from septic tank to house penetration. After sewer line was dug up inspected and found sewer line to be back graded in multiple spots. Cut out entire sewer line and removed both penetrations going into septic tank and going into house. Tied on new PVC pipe in crawlspace into existing plumbing, ran out through penetration at house, and ran sewer line to septic tank and stuck through penetration at tank. Install to a clean out within 5 feet of the home to be able to clean pipe both ways. Had customer run water in home to check for leaks. After new sewer line was ran made sure it was graded properly and then bedded pipe for proper support. Installed tracer wire in ditch, then proceeded to backfill tamping every few inches t

Upon arriving to home, customer welcomed me in. We discussed a few items she was concerned about. Her water pressure to her felt low in multiple areas of the home. Backyard hose bib leaking when turned on. Customer wanted to know price about water heater flush costs. She showed me to all locations of plumbing in and around the home. Electric Water heater from 2016 is located in the garage. Main shut off is in garage as well. Tested T&P and water pressure. Pressure reading around 70 psi. Current water pressure is reading fine for home. Continued safety check list throughout home. All aerators for faucets have build up not allowing proper water flow to occur except for master bathroom. Dye tested three toilets. No leaks at this time. Checked all plumbing fixtures including faucets, toilets, tubs and showers for proper function. Highly recommend performing water heater flush and new aerators for faucets. Garbage disposal is working fine at this time.

Upon arrival to home, customer stated that water will not get hot. Water heater is located in the garage. Upon inspection noticed that the pilot light was out on the water heater. Re lit pilot light and made sure that flame stayed lit my whole visit. Tested water pressure at home reading 50 PSI. Which is ready good for home. Water heater will possibly go out again. Age of internal components are showing signs of failure. Gas water heater is currently 14 years old. I let homeowner know about and condition of the water heater. Water heaters typically last around 10-12 years. Highly recommend to replace water heater due to age, cost of usage and safety. I provided homeowner with multiple options for replacements. Tankless water heaters typically last between 15-20 years

Upon arrival customer stated that both toilets were having issues with water level in bowl receding after toilet had filled up. Inspected fill valve and flush valve on both toilets, both seem to be working properly. Inspected roof vent for clog, roof vents clear of any debris. Informed customer issue was with push button toilet and would need to be replaced to fix issue of receding water. Customer will wait before he replaces toilets since there is no damage being done.

Upon arrival to the home I proceeded to perform a 65 point home inspection I’ll begin by looking at all the fixtures and water connections in the home. I’ve been began to look at all the drains as well as the toilets. I noticed quite a bit of corrosion to some of the stops but everything is functioning properly. All of the toilets past the die test and none of them are running. I adjusted the flapper on the master bathroom toilet so that it would flush properly and you wouldn’t have to hold the handle down to get it to flush. I see no major issues at this time however I did make the homeowner aware about the waterlines under the home which are copper, and copper is known to fail when on well water. The homeowner does have a water system to combat the harshness of the well water. Everything seems to be in good working order at this time.

Upon arrival to the home today I talked with customer about replacing the kitchen faucet in the downstairs kitchen as well as replacing some tubular after talking with the homeowner and providing other prices and options for him the homeowner decided that he was just going to do it himself since he is a DIY kind of guy and save money on this project seeing how he rents out the bottom of the house for Airbnb I would like to save a little bit of money that he can, I did inform the homeowner of what needed to be taken place and he understood and said that he would get it handled and he appreciated that we came out took a look at it and help you load him in the correct direction to get it fixed, he did state if he has any other issues that are out of his scope of DIY work he will give us a call to get us to fix it
