Accomplished the Impossible

Our issue was the sump water never evacuated into the sewer like it was supposed to. Instead it was free-falling on the side of the house underneath the deck where they put gravel and crushed limestone. On top of that the earth underneath the deck is pitched such that the water pooled and sat there against the side of the house. We had a lake underneath the deck for the longest time. That same water recirculated back through the house’s drain system for all those years and became highly concentrated with minerals. When I bought the house I found the problem and addressed it. But it was way too late. That recirculated water had lined the pipes with mineral deposits so much so that it finally clogged. Somehow, some way, sand found its way into the drain tiles. It wasn’t that much sand and normally it would’ve settled or got flushed into the sump pit. But the drain tiles were already so jammed up by the mineral deposits that a small amount of sand become a blockage issue. Think of clogged arteries. That blockage caused water to come up from underneath the ground where the wall meets the floor and that’s how it flooded. 2 other drain “experts” came out and said the only solution was to rip out the finished basement and replace the drain tile. Several other companies refused to even dispatch a tech. RooterMD came out with both knowledge of how to troubleshoot the issue and the proper equipment to do so. They found the blockage and snaked it out and the water instantly receded. It will be a process to dry the basement and replace the damaged areas, but at least I’m now at peace that the issue is now addressed permanently. I would hire these guys without any question moving forward.
